Vada

"Don't go Vaya!" Kye squealed as he tugged on her fingers, tears forming in his eyes.

"Please!" Niamh added, hugging her sisters side.

"I'll try and see you guys as soon as I can" she lied, knowing her father wouldn't allow it any time soon. Speaking of her father, he had locked himself in his office all morning, not even joining the group for breakfast. He had chosen his own stubbornness instead of seeing his daughter for the last time in God knows how long, but at least Vada now knew for sure where she got her own stubbornness from.

"But we'll miss you" Kye told her, whining as Lilian picked him up, stroking his hair as he pushed his head into her neck, his small fists closing around her hair.

"I'll miss you guys too, so will Jaden" she told them, bending down to pull Niamh into a hug, "right?" She looked up at him.

"Definitely," he nodded, smiling as Kye reached out for him, leaving Lilians arms and meeting his own. He tickled Kye sides, finally getting a smile from the young boy.

"We should go..." Vada spoke, letting out a heavy sigh as Jaden put Kye down and took their bags outside to the car, helping Ed put them in the trunk.

Vada looked around one last time before turning and walking down the few steps, she didn't know when she'd see this place again.

"Vada..." a voice called, surprising the girl.

"Yeah?" She replied, turning to see Lilian looking at her through the gap through the door.

"Be careful, and if you need anything you can always text me" she told Vada in a hushed voice.

Vada had never seen Lilian in this way, her face was soft and caring, like she actually cared for Vada as a daughter, something she'd never seen before.

"Thank you, Lilian...good luck" she told her, smiling, before turning around and finally walking to the car.

Ed set off, driving out of the gates and down the road, leaving behind the house.

House...not a home.

"I'll be missing you, miss Vada" Ed told her in a meaningful voice, his red cheeks in a bright smile.

"I'll miss you too, Ed" she told him, pulling the short man into a hug, she really would. Ed was one of the only constants in her life growing up in that house.

"And you, master Jaden, I hope to see you soon" Ed turned to Jaden, shaking his hand.

"You too, Ed, keep yourself safe" they waved to the man as he pulled away, leaving the two and their luggage at the airport.

Vada pulled the sleeves of Jadens hoodie up her arms, grabbing her suitcase and turning, following the boy into the airport.

"So, we have time..." he told her as they sat down, waiting for the plane to arrive.

"Yeah?" She asked, confusion clear on her face.

"Are you going to tell me what happened when I was gone?" He asked, "with Avani" he added when Vada cocked her head.

"Oh, yeah" her mouth shaped in an 'o', "well, when you called me she heard and came in to comfort me," she started explaining as he nodded, "and we made up, explained to each other our situations; how she was worried and I definitely wasn't trying to date Anthony"

"Wait, she thought you were trying to get with Ant?"Jaden laughed, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"Yep" she shook her head in disbelief, "and then she told me that she knew, about us"

"Wait, what? How?" He questioned, his face bewildered.

"She saw us saying goodbye, before you left," he nodded, "anyways, then we discovered that we are much better as friends than enemies, so now we're besties" she rolled her eyes, smiling brightly at the end as she laughed, flipping her hair over her shoulder in a mocking manner.

"Oh wow, i've been replaced" he joked, faking a pout.

"Oh, please, if anybody has been replaced it's Violet and Maeve" she told him, watching as he over dramatically grabbed his chest.

"Oh, it hurts" he whined, making her laugh.

"Shut up, stupid"

"So we're back to stupid?" He teased, raising an eyebrow and smirking.

"Well, what else would I call you?"

"I don't know," he paused, looking her in the eye and smirking more, "daddy"

She squealed jumping up slightly as he grabbed her waist, laughing with her.

"You're disgusting" she told him, shaking her head as he pulled her up, hearing their plane gate being opened.

"Oh, you love it" he told her.

"Nope, lies"

"Sure..." he trailed off, spinning her around to hug him as they stood in line.

He swayed them from side to side, his arms wrapped around her shoulders as hers squeezed his waist. His head was sat on top of hers, she breathed in his scent, something she'd never get tired of.

They moved forward in the line as Vadas phone dinged.
