Vada

Vada had tried hard to step around the parts of the floor board she knew would creek, she didn't feel like waking the girls up at 6am.

She stepped slowly, one foot at a time, then turned around closing the door fully before letting go of the handle.

"And where have you been?" The voice made Vada jump, she definitely hadn't been expecting somebody to be awake, let alone to walk in to both of be friends sat on the couch with their arms crossed.

"Just...out" she whispered, dropping her bag on the floor and walking to the open kitchen to grab a drink.

"At 6am?" Violet replied.

"Yeah...I-um I woke up early" she wasn't exactly lying.

"Cut the bullshit Vay, where have you been?" Maeve's voice wasn't as soothing as Violets, it was full of accusation.

Vada walked to the living room, sitting down opposite them, she felt like she was being interrogated; mostly because she was.

"If it's a boy you can tell us-"

"It's not a boy" Vada cut in a little too fast, over compensating.

"Hmm" Maeve raised an eyebrow.

"I just..." Vada bit her lip, "I needed to think. I wasn't feeling too good when I woke up and I needed to clear my head" Violets face dropped to sorrow, Maeves however stayed stationary.

"You could have woken us up, you know we'd be here for you" She said, looking past Vadas head.

"It was early, I'm sorry..." Vada looked between her two friends, hoping they'd give in and she wouldn't have to lie to them more. After all it wasn't a complete lie, she hadn't stopped thinking the whole night.

"It's okay Vay, you just had us worried" Violet explained standing up and walking to the couch Vada was sat on, she sat next to her before pulling Vadas head to her shoulder, "tell us next time, yeah?"

"Yeah..." Vada agreed, making eye contact with Maeve.

Violet was always quick to forgive whilst Maeve was a bit more sceptical. When they first became friends Maeve looked for any way that Vada messed up in order to call her out on it; however when they'd become closer friends she began to realise that Vada never meant it, nobody purposely hurt her.

"I'm sorry Maeve," she spoke, "how about we get the ice cream out and watch Vampire Diaries" Vada had never loved the show but she knew it was Maeves favourite.

"Yeah we can watch season six" Violet wiggled her eyebrows.

"I know you can't deny a day watching Kai Parker" Maeve laughed at Vadas suggestion.

"Who can say no to that?"

"Kai Parker could murder me any day of the week"

"Maeve!" Vada shouted, slapping her shoulder as she threw her head back in laughter.

"What? You can't tell me you wouldn't love to be stuck in that world with him" Maeve continued, only making them laugh louder

"No!" Violet shouted back from the kitchen, "but if Klaus would like to push me into a coffin with Kol I wouldn't say no"

Maeve and Vada burst out laughing as Violet ran from the kicthen and jumped over the couch, over estimating the distance and fell into the coffee table.

"Violet!" Maeve shouted, before bursting out into laughter, grabbing her stomach as Vada grabbed a pillow to shive into her face.

"Keep it down!" A distant voice shouted as bangs were heard on the ceiling, only pushing them to laugh more.

"Right, I'm getting a shower someone order dinner" Vada said standing up and going to her room, grabbing some clothes to change into.

It wasn't mean to be a long shower, but Vada couldn't help standing under the hot water overthinking. She felt so at peace with water running down her back, massaging shampoo into her scalp.

The night had been wild start to finish. She'd gotten to know Jaden more, which she enjoyed, but still had that question in her head: was he just using her?

She thought he actually cared, actually wanted to know her promblems, but when she told him he had only laughed; basically called her stupid.

Sure, the end of the night was nice. They'd spoken about a future that could never come true, a future of their sunrise aliases. A future where she didn't feel like she had to give him sexual pleasure or for him to be high just to want to be around her.

But she couldn't help wanting to see him again, day dreaming about what their next adventure would be like. If there was a next adventure.

There will be, she told herself. They had agreed, after all, on a lowkey sort of thing; meaning that they'd be seeing each other more but not letting anybody know, a secret just for them.

And for the time being, Vada was okay with that.
