Vada

"Vada...?"

She didn't want to look at him, she didn't want him to see her like this. Right now he could guess that she was crying, but as soon as he saw the tears it'd be real.

"Babygirl, what's wrong?" Vada felt him slide down the door next to her and wrap a careful arm around her back, his other hand rested on her knee, which was brought up to her chest.

"Nothing...I'm over-"

"You're not over reacting, Vay" he cut her off, obviously knowing where her sentence was going. She thought he hated how emotional she was, after all Jaden wasn't quick to share his own feelings; his cards were very much held close to his chest. She thoughts that perhaps the added stress of her over sensitive feelings would cause him to get bored, in reality Jaden was quite worried-not that he'd tell anybody that.

"Is it Avani, again?" He asked after a few minutes of silence, only interrupted by her sobs.

"No..." she whispered.

"Liar" he smiled a little, pulling her head to his shoulder and playing with her hair.

"It's stupid" Vada sighed, pulling her head up from him and standing up, she walked towards Anthonys bed and hopped on, sitting at the pillows with her head leaning against the back board, "I'll be fine"

Jaden watched her from his position on the floor, quite frankly she confused him. He had quickly learnt that she was an emotional person, however when he tried to help her she would blatantly lie about her feeling.

"It's not stupid," he sighed, also standing up. He slowly walked to the end of the bed, Vada couldn't help herself from looking at his toned abs, they were well shadowed in the blue LED lights. He leaned his knee against the bed as he reached it before quickly crawling up, settling in between Vadas legs.

She raised an eyebrow at the boys actions as he leaned down, pressing his head to her stomach, his arms wrapping around her waist, and just like that she was smiling again. Admittedly, it wasn't the direction she thought it was going in but she was still happy.

Her hand rested lightly against his head, her fingers trailing through his hair. He was cuddling her waist, his bare back exposed, the muscles making her feel some kind of way. His grey joggers hung low on his waist so thats she could see the top of his Calvin Kleins, he had never looked better. So soft yet still dominating the atmosphere around them.

"You can trust me..." he stated, squeezing her lightly.

"Can I?" She asked, not meaning for the words to come out.

"Why would you ask that?" He pulled back, resting his jaw on her stomach and looking up at her.

Vada avoided his eyes, playing with the drawstrings to his hoodie, which she was still wearing; she didn't even know what she meant.

"You're a different person when we're alone to when we're not" she struggled out, not quite knowing where the conversation was going, "I understand why, and I do want to keep it this way, I just get confused...in my own head" she tried to explain.

"Vada..." he trailed off, biting his lip, "it feels like we've only just agreed to be low key and now you want more?" He tried to keep the judgment out of his voice.

"No!" She stated quickly, "I like this, the secret thing, it's our own little thing just for us" she smiled, genuinely.

"Well, and Anthony apparently" he teased, making her laugh.

"Yes, and Anthony" she pushed a piece of hair from his forehead, smiling as he winced his eyes closed with a big smile. "I just don't feel like I fit in here..."

"What, why?everybody loves you"

"I mean the only people that care about me outside of a group is Anthony snd Dixie," she paused, "and you" she added as an after thought after seeing his raised eyebrow, "Avani hates me, once Mads finds out about this she'll hate me and everyone will back her and-"

"Mads has no say in my life" he stated, cutting her off, pushing himself onto his elbows, "sure she was a part of it for a while but ultimately that's the past and I don't see her in my future"

"So..." Vada bit her lip, "who do you see in your future?" she definitely didn't expect to get a straight answer for him, that wasn't his style, but she also wasn't expecting for him to be so harsh about it either.

"Do I look like a fortune teller?" He rolled his eyes slightly, pushing himself to his hands as Vada sat up a bit.

"I just-"

"Vada, i'm nineteen...right now we're just...us" He trailed off, looking down.

"Whatever the hell that is" she joked, hoping to lighten the situation.

"Yeah," he laughed lightly, "well, this got a bit..."

"...Yeah" she finished.

"Movie?" He asked, reaching to grab Anthonys TV remote and turning it on, Netflix popping up straight away.

"Rick and Morty" she pointed, her eyes widening slightly, "season four just got added" she added, not taking her eyes off the television.

"Rick and Morty it is" he nodded, starting season four before going up higher on the bed and laying down, dragging her to his level and wrapping his arm around her.

Vada's eyes were trained on the TV until she felt soft lips press to her forehead.

Wow, he really was soft
