"What the fuck"

Vada stood in pure shock, her mouth hanging open as she looked between her two friends.

"What the fuck, what the fuck!" She repeated again, closing the door behind her as she walked briskly towards them.

"Vada, we can explain!" Chase's words shot from his mouth, stepping towards Vada with his hands out stretched, but she whacked them away.

"How could you do this to Charli!" She pointed to him, her jaw set, "and you! Nessa, how could you do this to Josh!"

Nessa had stayed silent until that time, simply watching the two in shock, like a deer caught in head lights.

"We're not-"

"That's not the point!" Vada shouted, already knowing what her excuse would be, that her and Josh had broken up,"Josh and Chase are friends, how could you do that!"

"We're not boys" Chase cut in, standing in front of Nessa.

"Not boys?" She asked in disbelief, "you guys were 'boys' last summer, and now you're fucking his ex girlfriend, who you know for a fact he's not over?"

"Exactly, Vada, ex girlfriend! They're nothing, we're both single, we did nothing wrong!" Chase was almost shouting now, his eyes flicking towards the door to make sure nobody saw them.

"You're hurting Charli, do you not even care?" She furrowed her eyebrows as she looked into his eyes, seeing nothing but anger in them.

"Of course I care Vada! But I did nothing wrong, I'm not dating Charli!" He repeated, but she'd already lost all respect for both of them.

"Don't Chase, you're trying to explain yourself to me when you should be talking to Charli and Josh-"

"No!" Nessa cut in, stepping quickly towards Vada, "we can't tell them" so she knew what they were doing was wrong.

"You tell them, or I will" Vada set up the conundrum, her face stoic as she shook her head.

"No you won't" Chase growled, stepping closer to Vada, scaring her slightly.

"What-"

"If you mention anything about this to anybody, then the whole world will know about you and Jaden, and what you did with Nick" Chase spat at her, the blackmail surprising both Vada and Nessa, "and since Jaden hasn't tried to kill Nick yet, i'm guessing he doesn't know. It'd be an awful shame if he had to find out this way"

Nessa had stayed silent, looking between the two furious teens.

"Chase...you wouldn't" Vada shook her head, both of them knew how serious the secrecy of her relationship was.

"I would, and I will if anybody finds out about this" he gripped her wrist, his teeth grinding as he spoke.

He terrified her.

"Is that a threat?" She gulped out, licking her lips in nervousness.

"No, it's a promise"
