Vada

"I miss Josh" Nessa sighed as she flung herself onto the couch, landing on top of Avani who hugged her.

"We know," she laughed, "you've said it everyday since they left" the boys had been gone for a few day but they still had a couple of days left. Vada had texted Jaden throughout the days and they'd even called a few times when he could get time alone, it was good.

"Well it okay for some of us" Nessa stuck her tongue out, "your boyfriend stayed here, whilst ours are in Texas" she pouted.

"Ours?" Vada questioned, slightly scared about their secret as she heard Nessa talk.

"Yeah, mine and Violets" she said, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh..." she nodded before sitting up straight, "Wait! Violet and Bryce, dating?" She almost shouted, facing Violet who only blushed.

"Well, not in that many words but...yeah"

"Since when!" Vada squealed, hugging her best friend.

"The day they left" she blushed, pushing away Maeves hand as she poked her cheek.

"That's so cute! You guys are adorable" Avani agreed, hugging Nessa tighter.

"Just you now Mads and Maeve" Avani teased her childhood best friend who rolled her eyes.

"I've got you babes" she send the short girl an air kiss.

"Wait?" Nessa interrupted their flirt fest, "what about Vada?"

"Oh...yeah. I guess Vadas got nobody either" Avani mused, finally looking an Vada, surprisingly with a smile.

"I can't see Vada with a boyfriend" Mads cut in, looking up from her phone.

"It's not a pretty sight"Maeve nodded.

"Hey!" She protested.

"What? Your only serious relationship was with Ryan and that ended terribly" she continued, not noticing Vadas eyes fixated on the floor.

"Maeve-" Violet interrupted.

"What? I'm right, if he didn't move away then you guys would have gotten married and had kids then you'd grow up thinking 'what would it have been like to actually love the person you're married to?' You'll be lucky now if the same thing doesn't happen out here and you end up miserable" She finished, finally looking around the room, "what?"

"Maeve..." Violet said softer, obviously noticing Vadas change in composure.

Maeve looked at Vada, noticing her eyes trained on the floor and the hollow look on her face.

"Oh,shit...Vada. I'm so sorry" her hands travelled to he mouth, like she was trying to take back her words even though she obviously couldn't.

"No...it's okay" Vada shook her head, looking back to Maeve and smiling lightly.

Maeve had never liked Ryan, neither had Violet. Admittedly, about 60% of people who met Ryan didn't like him, he was cocky and sarcastic, and not always in a cool, funny way: more in a looking down his nose and judging you way. However, somehow to everybody's amazement, Vada had never noticed it, until he moved away.
