  Jaden

Jaden's head was a vast contrast to the atmosphere around him: outside the air was clean and fresh with the sun shining and birds fluttering, but his head was banging and a clear indicator of the fun he had had the night before. Another morning waking up with a hangover, nothing new.

He sat up, looking around the roof, only to see nothing.

No Vada.

Jaden wondered when she had left, it couldn't be any later than 9am now, so why had she left so early?

Nevertheless, he stood up and made his way towards the roof door, stretching as he walked: sleeping on concrete hadn't done him any good.

"Yo" he spoke, alerting his presence in the living room. Only Anthony was in there, hunched over using his phone which was on charge.

"Aye, you good?" He replied turning around to greet him, his face slowly converted into a smirk, "lucky you, she left a present"

"What?" Jadens eyebrows furrowed but Anthony only pointed to his own cheek in return.

Jaden made his way over to a mirror on the wall, noticing a mark on his cheek, what was that? As he got closer he noticed what it was, a lipstick kiss.

Why on earth did she leave him a lipstick kiss? But no matter how confused he was he couldn't stop the small smirk that crept onto his face.

"Aw...Jaden's is love" Anthony dragged out the 'o' in a high pitch voice, teasing the boy in front of him.

"Shut up" He shook his head, wiping the lipstick from his cheek before making his way into the kitchen, followed by Anthony.

"Finally dude," Bryce pushed a plate in front of the yawning boy, "we've all been up for ages" the girls looked up from their phones and nodded.

"Wheres Vada?" He replied, ignoring Bryce, and tucking into his breakfast.

"She went home last night" Violet, or Violetta he couldn't quite remember her name, said not looking up from her own breakfast.

Jaden had to hide the confused look on his face, she definitely hadn't gone home last night. They were together until at least 4am so unless that is what they classed as last night she was with him.

"Why do you care where Vada is?" Avani spoke, rolling her eyes slightly when she said Vadas name, Jaden slightly raised his eyebrow.

"Don't," he sighed, licking his lips, "just being polite"

"Mmhmm, sure" Anthony whispered so only he could hear, Jaden elbowed him without anybody noticing.

"We should probably get going, Vadas probably crying or something" Maeve joked, but there was a slight seriousness to her voice. Why would she be crying? Wait, why did he care?

Violet nodded in return, standing up and brushing down her jeans.

"Wait, can't we go out before you guys go back?" Avani asked, pouting slightly.

"I don't know," Maeve seemed to consider it, Jaden squinted, would they choose Avani over Vada; who's supposed to be their best friend? "we need to check if Vada's okay" She finished.
