It had been a week since Vada had last seen Nick, they hadn't talked and she was thankful for that. Vada wouldn't know what to say to him, would she apologise again? Or would he have something to say?

She had mostly stayed in her bed, leaving only to shower, eat or go to work, and her friends had started to get worried.

"Vada, come on, we're going out" she felt her covers being ripped off of her.

"Go away, Avani" she mumbled, trying her best to pull them back, but Avani was stronger than she looked.

"Nope, we're going out and theres nothing you can do about it" she walked to Vadas closet, grabbing a pink pleated skirt, a white collared shirt and a baby blue sweatshirt.

"No..." she wined, pushing her head further into her pillow and wrapping her arms around herself for warmth.

"Yes, this outfit is cute and we're going to show Jaden what he's missing" Vadas head shot up to look at Avani, seeing her grabbing random bits of jewellery to add to the pile.

"What? No! Why would i-"

"Because he's just as upset as you are, and you need to show him that he messed up" she told her, authority in her voice, she grabbed onto Vada arms and pulled her up, pushing her towards the shower with the pile of clothes.

"But-"

"No buts, do it"

And with that she slammed the door, leaving Vada alone with her mouth gaping, not sure what to do.

She had no other choice but to start the shower, and then get dressed in the outfit that Avani had picked for her.

Admittedly, Avani and Vada had an opposite style, but she'd done well with picking the outfit.

She'd picked one of Vadas skirts, the pink plaid had light blue running through it that matched the sweatshirt and the white collar was matched to the headband Avani had picked out. It was all pulled together by a pearl beaded necklace with a small flower charm around her neck.

"Wow..." Avani breathed out as she heard the door open, seeing Vada walk in, blue Air Jordan 1's on her feet, "you look amazing"

"All because of you" she smiled, feeling slightly better with herself. Vada made her way to the mirror, putting on casual makeup with a lot of blush and highlighter, as usual.

"He is going to die when he sees you" Avani squealed as they pulled up to the Sway house, she stopped the car and jumped out leaving Vada in the car alone, breathing heavily.

"Vay, you coming?" Avani knocked on the window, opening the door for her.

"Yeah, coming now" she nodded, undoing her seatbelt and hoping out, plastering on a fake smile and walking to the door, letting herself in.

"We're here!" Avani called slamming the door shut.

"Kitchen!" They heard Anthony shout back, Vada eyes widened as she eyed Avani, who laughing, she hadn't seen Anthony in weeks.

"Ant!" She shouted as she entered the kitchen, making her way quickly to the boy who stood with his arms wide open.

"Vay!" He laughed back, wrapping his arms around her, rocking them back and forth, "I missed you" he told her, laughing as she squeezed him tighter.

"And what about the rest of us?" She looked up laughing, seeing Dixie stood with her arms crossed an amused look on her face.

Vada made her way around the small group, hugging the boys, noticing that Jaden and Kio were missing.

"Where's everyone else?" She asked Dixie.

"Kios upstairs, after him and Olivia broke up he's been a mess, and Jaden's upstairs too, he went looking for something he left" she told her, noticing Vadas face drop lightly when she mentioned Kios break up.

"Is he ok-"

"Vada?" She heard a confused voice ask as the door opened, she spun around, seeing him.

He looked so put together, his hair messy as always and his style as fuckboy as ever; but his eyes showed his real feelings, the sadness he held.

"Jae" she smiled a tight lipped smile, noticing the tense faces in the room.

"You good?" He smiled back the same smile.

"Yep, you?" He nodded, and the room fell quiet.

The group made awkward eye contact as they noticed the tension between the two teens, bringing the mood down drastically.

"Okay...moving on" Josh clapped his hands together, trying his best to get away from the awkwardness, and pushed himself out of his seat and towards the living room, "what are we doing?"

The group followed him, Vada slipping her way to Avani and Dixie as the three of them took up a sofa.

"Movie?"

"That was so shit" Griffin called, earning glares from the girls next to him, "what? It was"

"'Us' is a great movie, you're just too stupid to understand it" Dixie stuck out her tongue, smirking at her boyfriend.

"No, Griff is right that ending was so pushed" Jaden agreed, sitting forward to grab a hand full of M&M's.

"No, you guys just have no taste" Avani shook her head, looking over to Vada who was still staring at the credits as they rolled past.

"We have taste, we went for you guys didn't we" Anthony teased pointing at Griffin and Jaden before pointing ti the three girls, they laughed but Vadas and Jadens were forced.

"Can't argue with tha-" Dixie started but was cut off by a knock at the door.

"That's my postmates" Bryce shouted, standing up and jumping over the couch, running towards the front door.

Vada laughed as they heard Bryce slide into the wall before opening the door, but then he went quiet.

"Um...Vada?" She heard him shout, the group looked at her in confusion, "it's for you..."

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she slowly stood up, making her way around the couch and towards the door, the group watching her every move.

She walked past Bryce, who was too busy glaring at whoever was at the door to look at her.

When her eyes finally setting on him her eyebrows furrowed, her mouth opened slightly in confusion.

"Ryan?"
