Chapter 1 Planning the Wedding

Zachary Goode had been down on 1 knee as he looked Cameron Morgan in the eye and said the 2 words that would forever change her life.

"Marry me." It wasn't a question. I remember looking at my friends and family. I remember my mother telling me he had permission. I even remember Liz yelling at me to answer him. I remember Zach's voice shaking as he said "Gallagher Girl?" However, I didn't remember answering him.

"Yes. My answer is yes." I hadn't even realized how long I'd been dying for Zach to ask.

"Gallagher Girl?" Zach asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up. He was sitting at the bar in Townsend and Abby's loft. Townsend was looking at me quizzically. Abby was grinning. My mom and Joe simply beamed at me.

"I'm sorry," I said. "What did you say?"

"I asked what you were thinking about," Zach replied, smirking.

"Oh, just day dreaming," I smiled. "Anyways, we were wondering if Matthew would be our ring bearer and if Morgan would want to be our flower girl." I snapped my attention back to the wedding planning we were doing.

"What do you say guys?" Zach asked looking at his half siblings. "Will you do the honors for you favorite big brother?" The twins grinned at Zach. They nodded. Zach smiled back at them.

"Perfect!" I said, winking at my cousins.

"Oh, Cam. How are you ever going to pick between your 3 best friends for your maid of honor?" Abby asked.

"That's just it, I can't. Which is what leads me to my next question. Abby? Would you be my maid of honor?" I asked. She looked stunned.

"Oh, squirt, of course!" I could have sworn my Aunt Abby shed a tear.

"See it all works out because I was actually going to ask you to be my best man," Zach said, turning to his father. "After everything you've done for me I don't see how I could ask anyone else. Townsend raised his eyebrows.

"It would be my greatest honor," he answered. I felt my eyes well up with tears. I loved how close Zach had gotten to his real father. I knew that having his father come into his life was exactly what he needed.

"You're just so big now," my mom said shaking her head in disbelief. I smiled. She had no idea...
