Chapter 12- Back off!!

I had an uneasy feeling so I decided to walk around the school and sure enough behind the school, I saw Grant and his goons hitting and punching Avery.

"You can't even fight back you loser," said Grant.

"S-Stop p-please," said Avery with a whimper.

"Aw, why should we," said, one guy.

Avery tried to wiggle out but Grant wouldn't let him I was about to step in until.

"Guys leave I'll take care of this," said Grant with a smirk.

His friends laughed and left. Grant lifted Avery by his shirt collar.

"P-Please leave me alone..." said Avery with a cry.

I waited for Grant to do something but no he just watches as Avery cried then Grant did something unexpected he got closer to Avery and kissed him. Avery looked back shocked but didn't do anything then Grant realize what he was doing and he let Avery down and quickly walked away. I was confused but I went over to Avery.

"Are you okay!!" I said as I kneeled in front of him.

He looked up at me with tears and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back as he cried but then we heard footsteps. I was about to grab Avery and run but it was too late Grants goons came back and they saw us.

"The hell?? I thought Grant beat you to a pulp" one of them said.

Avery started shaking.

"Well we'll have to finish the job then," said the other one as he shrugged.

"Like hell you are," I said angrily.

They looked at me and smirked.

"Listen sweet cheeks butt out," said the guy with black spiky hair.

I glared at him.

"Fuck you!!," I said angrily.

Avery gave me a scared look.

"Listen we don't hit girls but maybe you're an expectation," said the guy with light blue hair.

Avery whispered to me.

"Please leave I'll be fine.." he says.

I shook my head.

"Leave him alone he's not doing anything to you," I said angrily.

"So?" said the guys with blonde hair.

I cocked my head at them and rolled my eyes.

"Now sweetcheeks this is manly matter leave while you still can," said the other guy.

"Manly really?"I said with a laugh.

They gave me death glares and one of them tried to hit me but I dodge it and hit him right in the face. He fell to the ground.

"SHE FUCKING BROKE MY NOSE!!!" The guy screamed.

The others soon attacked but I was quick and was able to hit each of them and knocked them to the ground. Avery watches in amazement as the last guy fell.

"Woah you really can pack a punch," said Avery in amazement.

I gave him a smirk but we heard voices.

"Yeah I think the sound is coming from here?" Someone said.

"Crap..." I thought.

I ran to Avery and grabbed him then ran. We made it into the school as we were breathing heavily.

"T-Thank y-you Veronica," said Avery tiredly.

I smiled at him and the others came up to us.

"Hey V are you okay?" asked Naya concerned.

"Bestie why are your knuckles red!!" said Agnes worried.

"Did you get into a fight?" said Inez.

I didn't answer since I was gasping for air then they looked at Avery.

"Oh hey aren't you in our science class??" asked Agnes.

Avery nodded.

"Are you okay?" asked Inez concerned.

Avery nodded then Agnes hugged him which startled Avery.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you," said Agnes still hugging him.

"I-It's okay.." said Avery.

Agnes was about to say something else until a bunch of people came in and were running.

"Woah what's going on???"asked Inez confused.

The people ran towards the principal and we walked closer to them.

"Mr. Cullen!!!!" said, one girl.

"Yes what it is??" said Mr. Cullen concerned.

"There's a bunch of students that are beaten up and bloodied behind the school!!!!" said the other girl.

Mr. Cullen's eyes widened and immediately followed the students outside then the others turned to us.

"I feel like you had something to do with that V," said Naya.

I sighed and explained to them what was going on.

"Holy shit," said Inez.

Agnes gave her a look and Inez said sorry.

"I didn't know that they were that fucked up," said Naya shaking her head.

"Those as-" Inez was about to say.

"Are you okay Avery?" Agnes interrupted.

Avery looked at her and nodded.

"Let's take him to the nurse since.." Inez said as she points to all the cuts and bruises.

We nodded and took him to the nurse. Once we got there they patched him up.

"What are you gonna do now?" asked Naya.

"What do you mean?" I said confused.

Before she could answer all of Grant's goons came in.
