~~Abbys POV~~
I fell asleep but was woken up by a text which was from Veronica saying that her friends left. I sighed and told her I had something to show her and that I was going home. I got up and patted Jasmine on the head and left. I got home and Veronica ran towards me looking curious about what I found so I sighed and gave her the letter she gave me a weird look so I told her to just read it.

I saw the shocked look on her face as she dropped the letter and her eyes began to tear up. I don't know what to say to make her feel better.. so I hugged her and told her it was gonna be alright..that's all I could do. I looked at my phone and realized I was late for a meeting with Mr. Flor but at the same time I didn't want to leave Veronica alone..I sighed I can't miss this meeting it's my job and I already disappointed many people today.

So I sighed and told her that I had to go to work..she nodded and I hugged her one last time and left. As I drove to work I felt hot tears falling down my face..I hated disappointing people.

Present time

"Miss Gutierrez?".

"Hello?".

I was startled and looked up to see Mr. Flor looking at me concerned.

"Are you alright?" He says concerned.

I shook my head.

"Yes sorry I was thinking of something..."I said quietly.

He nods slowly and looks at his watch.

"Is Agent Killswitch sick today?" Ivan asked curiously.

"No sir..".

"Do you know where she is?" He asked firmly.

I sighed.

"She left.." I said quietly.

"Left? What do you mean?" Ivan asked in a dark tone.

"She left and she's not coming back," I said while shaking.

His eyes widened and sighed.

"No notice or nothing.." he says annoyed.

Then he looked at me.

"Wait if she's gone..are you taking care of Veronica?" he says curiously.

I nodded then he got closer to me and he stares into my eyes making me even more nervous.

"Hm you seem like a good person..I hope you can take care of Veronica.." he says in a serious tone.

"She's like a daughter to me even though I met her a few days ago" I joked.

He chuckles.

"Thank you, Miss Gutierrez.." he says with a small smile.

I smiled back.

"Oh by the way have you thought of a code name yet?" He asks curiously.

I nodded.

"Does Raven sound okay?" I asked curiously.

He grabbed a list and looked through it then he nods.

"Thank you, Agent Raven," he says with a smile.

I smiled back and he leaves. I sighed and continued drawing.

~~Veronicas POV~~
I slowly got up and looked around.

"don't tell me I passed out" I sighed

I got up then a nurse came out.

"Did she deliver the baby?" I asked her.

She looks at me and sighs.

"Yes..but unfortunately both of them didn't survive..I'm sorry" the nurse says quietly.

She walks away and I sighed then Ivan came up to me.

"I take it didn't go well..".

I shook my head and he pats my head.

"Veronica I want to know something," he says firmly.

I looked at him curiously.

"This might not be a good time to ask but who's that boy that we have in the cellar?" He asks curiously.

I sighed.

"Can we talk in your office.." I said quietly.

He looks at me and nods. We walked to his office and saw Alex holding the kid we found the other day.

"Wait I thought-".

"We decided to adopt him," said Ivan.

"Isn't he cute!!" said Alex with a gummy smile.

"We named him Andres Cortez Felipe Flor," Alex said with a smile.

I giggled.

"Hun can you leave we have to talk about something," Ivan said sweetly.

Alex nodded and kissed Ivan on the cheek. Alex left and Ivan looked at me curiously.

"That kid that was brought in the other day is Grant and he's my stepbrother..apparently my foster parents had a son two months before me," I said while looking out the window.

Ivan's eyes widened then he looked away.

"Whats wrong?" I asked him curiously.

He sighs.

"Did...Did you know?".

He nods and I stood up.

"What else aren't you telling me.." I said in a dark tone.

He just looks at me with a blank expression.

"Unbelievable..." I said angrily then I walked out.

"VERONICA!" I heard Ivan yell.

I walked past Alex.

"Veronica wait for me!".

I stopped as they caught up.

"Hey what's wrong?" they ask curiously.
