"R-Ro?" Virgil whimpered as Roman carefully laid him down in his bed. His face was neutral and held no emotion save for his eyes. His eyes were pitch black filled with desperation and pain. "Roman... I.. shit." Virgil groaned as he curled into himself in pain. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be, Stormcloud." Roman whispered softly to scared to speak up and risk his voice breaking. "You just focus on healing ok?"

"I'm sorry." Virgil whined in pain from both the wound on his side and from the emotional pain raging through him. "I'm sorry. I wanted... to... t-to tell..." Roman frowned as he watched Virgil go limp, passing out from the pain, and he sighed as his own pain burned through him.

"Roman?" Roman shook his head as he quickly turned away and walked out of the room. Alex took one look as his god before quickly following Roman out the door. "Roman!"

"VIRGIL?!" Roman cried out with an almost angry growl but Alex knew he wasn't mad... just broken. "He's Virgil?! Virgil fucking Davis... this entire time..."

"Roman, let me explain..."

"Explain what?!" Roman yelled out as he paced the living room floor. "Explain how the so-called 'lost god' was right in front of me the whole time. The man who you said I apparently loved more than anything was right fucking there... the man that... FUCK!" Roman screamed as his eyes flashed as bright scarlet before fading to black again.

"Roman, he was scared." Roman frowned as he glanced up through his hair just glaring at the demi. "He was terrified. He told you himself."

"He lied to me."

"Roman..." Roman eyes flashed a dark blue as he started to tear up. "Ro..."

"He lied to me. He lied... to me. I... I don't understand. I just don't..." His tears started to spill as he groaned in annoyance. "Why the fuck am I crying? I'm pissed. I'm not sad. I'm not... I'm..." His eyes were an ever flurry of colors from scarlet, to sakura, to black, dark blue, and even yellow. They never stayed one color and Alex could see just how overwhelmed Roman was. "I don't understand."

"Roman, Virgil is scared. He's scared and he's heartbroken. He's trying everything in his power to make you happy again even at the cost of himself." Roman tried to wave him off only for Alex to snap and shove the notebook into the god chest startling him. "Virgil gave up heaven to come down here and help you in person. He gave up being with his parents again for you. He gave up everything for you because he loves you... so stop with that self-pity and open your damn eyes. You don't remember a damn fucking thing." Roman's eyes snapped up as Alex growled at him. "HE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING!"

"So why didn't he try to..."

"Roman, He remembers everything even after becoming a god... yet he still tried to give you up. He tried to get you to see other people... to move on, despite him NEVER being able to." Roman's eyes flashed black as Alex just sighed and shook his head. "I know you're in pain. I know your suffering and that your upset over everything. I know that this... this hurt you. But you need to think long and hard about just WHO it is that has it the worst out of the two of you. You're in pain. You don't know why you're in pain because you can't remember. One day you'll forget everything... hopefully that pain too. Virgil... He's stuck with that pain... with the memories of you two because it is because of you that he is a god. He'll never forget it. He'll never lose them so he's stuck watching the man he'll ALWAYS love move on without him."

"Alex..."

"He's suffering too, Roman. He's suffering because he does remember. He's trying to help you and he doesn't know how so just... Stop villainizing him for his choices. He's doing the best he can!"

"ALEX!" Alex froze as Roman stepped back with faded red eyes and he frowned. Roman just stared at the notebook in his hands as he sighed. "Make yourself comfortable in one of the rooms. I know you're not going to want to leave, Lu... Virgil. So... You can take any of them except the first one on the right. Not that one please."

"Roman?" Roman shook his head as his hand shook slightly.

"Once Virgil is a little better we can... we can talk more but... I just..." Roman quickly wiped his tears away as he walked off leaving Alex there in the living room on his own. "I just can't right now." Roman really didn't know why he went back. Part of him was furious and didn't even want to see Virgil but... Most of him was desperate to cling on to the other. So Roman found himself standing there watching as the other slept. He glanced down at the book one last time before moving onto the bed himself. "I'm sorry." Roman whispered quietly as he sat back against the headboard right beside the other. "I would have just gone somewhere else but... I couldn't help it. I just... I had to be with you." Roman smiled sadly as he placed the book into his lap. "I haven't read it yet. Part of me doesn't want to. I don't exactly know why. Maybe I'm just scared. Maybe I don't want to know just what I forgot about you... about... about us. Colt... He called me your fiance?"

"Did we ever..." Roman shook his head as he pushed his knees up and frowned. "I see I don't know if I want to find out. I... I don't want to remember." Roman let out a broken laugh as he glanced off at nothing. "I don't want to remember if It doesn't matter. What if I remember everything and I remember about us and... and I lose you anyway. I'll just forget again. I... I don't know. If we really were together... If I really did love you then..." Roman froze the moment he felt those icy fingers wrap around his. "Stormcloud."

"You don't have to do a-anything y-you d-don't want to." Virgil smiled despite his eyes never opening once and Roman crashed. "It's o-ok, P-Princey."

"Virgil... Do you love me?" Roman tensed, his heart skipping a beat, as his eyes shined pink. He could see how Virgil's face scrunched with pain and he squeezed Virgil's hand a bit. "I need to hear you say it. Do you love me?" Virgil's eyes flittered open making Roman's heart break over the pain he saw in the other's eyes. "Virgil?"

"I love you more than anything." Roman crashed completely as Virgil just smiled falling back asleep. "You're my prince... and you promised me... you... you promised..."
