"Roman, why on earth are you dragging me out to see a play?" Roman giggled as he carefully maneuvered the wheelchair around the crowd.

"Oh, come on grandpa. You'll like it."

"Roman, I may be 66 years old, but I am not a grandfather." Roman rolled his eye playfully as Logan smirked up at him. "Not unless you made a demi without informing me?"

"No, definitely not." Roman laughed as he quickly pushed Logan along. "I told you a long time ago that I wouldn't have it in me. I just... Without Virgil, it just doesn't feel right you know?"

"I understand but, get this... maybe I want a grandchild?" Roman burst out in laughter catching several people's attention as he had to stop and lean against the chair just to hold himself up.

"Well, I'm sorry to disappoint." Roman smiled as he looked down to see Logan smiling up at him. "And I'm sorry to drag you away from your oh so important books... but I really want you to see this."

"The play?" Roman nodded as he carefully pushed Logan off to the side of this large amphitheater, Roman had had built several years ago, and smiled. "What's so important about grown men and women prancing about the stage in tights?"

"Ouch." Roman teased as he flicked the man lightly. "Watch it grandpa, those men and woman prancing about in tights are my people." Logan chuckled as Roman fondly gazed out onto the stage. "I wanted you to see it... because I wrote it."

"You wrote it?" Roman nodded as Logan followed his gaze to see these two men on stage arguing. His eyes went wide as one of them shoved back by this wave and Roman laughed.

"It's about us. Virgil and I." Logan's eyes shot up to see just how pink Roman's was. "I couldn't remember all the details... which upset me but I did remember a lot and... anything I couldn't I asked you about."

"I never thought it was for this." Roman's eyes narrowed in confusion as Logan turned back to the stage. "You wrote a play... about Virgil?"

"Well, things are dramatized for everyone's entertainment and... I had a lot had to be changed to fit the lore of 'Gods memorial' but yeah... I did. I just... Writing everything I remembered down on paper made me feel as if it was all still there. I don't ever want to forget but..." Logan's eyes darkened as Roman's smile slipped. "I know that I'm starting to."

"Roman, I..."

"Don't." Roman shook his head cutting Logan off as he looked away. "I know you guys are just trying to help me... so... Logan, I don't want to forget. Just the fact that it took me so long to remember how old he was... again. I just... If I start forgetting can you just be there to remind me?"

"Of course Roman." Roman smiled as he turned back to the play. Sure things had been changed up. Roman had to fit the lore created around Virgil's memorial. He didn't understand where the whole 'god who saved the world' thing came from? Virgil was a demi. That was one thing he was sure of but whoever had put it on the memorial had started this whole thing about the lost god. Roman was happy Virgil was so loved but... It didn't matter. Virgil was dead and he was still here. "Roman?"

"Hmm..."

"Have you ever thought of keeping a journal?" Roman's eyes widened in thought as Logan just watched the play with a thoughtful frown. "I mean... Your memory is very... weak."

"Don't remind me."

"I was just thinking. What if you wrote about your life experiences in a journal?" Roman's eyes narrowed as Logan glance back with this thoughtful expression. "That way you'd always have something to remind you."

"That's... actually a good idea." Logan laughed as he rolled his eyes.

"Like I would come up with anything else." Roman sighed softly at the teasing before smiling and just leaning over the chair. "I do think it would help you, Ro. And... having that constant reminder might keep you from forgetting him entirely. Sometimes just having something to spark the memory is all you need. "

"Yeah..." Roman smiled slightly as he watched 'Virgil' onstage. It was an actor but even still... seeing all the people who came to watch the story, changed up or not, about his love meant the world to him. If only Virgil could have seen it too. He probably would have laughed his ass off. "I think I just might do that. A journal huh? A truthful retelling but still a story none-the-less. A story just for me." Logan nodded as Roman giggled softly. "I think I might like that actually, Lo. Thank you for the idea."

"It's no problem at all, Roman. I know how much remembering him means to you."

"I don't ever want to forget him. I've made it 25 years without forgetting. I can and will remember him. I just... I just need something to hold on to like you said." Roman took a deep breath as he forced himself to go through the memories he had of his love. He did this often but he had noticed how things were hazed or felt as though something was off. The one thing he had yet to forget though... was Virgil touch. He missed it terribly. He missed being in his arms or to have Virgil in his. He missed holding him or when Virgil would wrap his arms around him when they slept. Roman just missed him.

"You still have Flounder right?" Roman nodded with a slightly confused look that morphed into panic making Logan tense up. "Roman, what's wrong?"

"I just... I just realized... I couldn't remember why he was so important." Logan's eyes widen seeing the fear in Roman's eyes. "I know he helps me so I don't get touch starved but... I can't remember where he came from."

"Virgil gave him to you." Roman gripped the chair tightly as he tried to work through his memories more. "Back when we first met... We discovered he helped you, so he let you keep it."

"He did? Right. Yeah... he did. He was so protective of it. He had to make sure nothing happened because he didn't want anything to happen to me if I didn't have it." Logan nodded as Roman slowly started to calm down. "He loved that fish so much. He always had iron his person. He never went anywhere without it. Not when we were on our mission. I... I did something to it, right?" Logan nodded again egging Roman on who frowned slightly as he tried to work through everything. "Something was wrong. Virgil... he... He was having nightmares. Yeah. He was having nightmares every night so I spelled it to take them away. See, I remember. I remember now. It just took me a bit. I won't forget. I won't."

"I know Roman. But for now... let enjoy the play."
