"Ro?" Virgil blinked slowly waking up only to find himself alone in his room. He frowned as he slowly pushed himself up and looked around. Flounder fell into his lap catching his attention as he paused. He knew he hadn't taken flounder out of his bag. "Roman?"
"Ro?" Virgil slowly pushed himself up spotting his bag on the table obviously empty. His eyes narrowed as he looked around. He pulled a drawer open to find all his clothes folded neatly and taken care of. He knew Roman must have done this when he slept. After all, he hadn't. When the lady had given him his key he quite literally threw the bag at the floor and ran right to the bed crying. He didn't remember falling asleep. He just remembered gripping the blankets tightly as his thoughts pulled him under. Virgil couldn't help but smile as he slowly closed the drawer and headed over to the side door. Even though he could have just let Virgil do it when he woke up, Roman still had to help and put things away. Plus he gave him his flounder as if he knew that it helped with his dreams. Virgil honestly didn't understand that one. Flounder usually only helped with his anxiety but lately, every night he's slept with it, he hasn't had a nightmare. "Roman?"
"Are you in here?" Virgil knocked lightly before opening the door to see Roman laying there on the bed. "You really weren't feeling well, were you?" Virgil sighed as he carefully made his way in. He pressed the back of his hand to Roman's forehead only to frown feeling the slight fever. He noticed right away how Roman shivered at his touch and his heart lurched. "Oh, Roman... If you were sick you should have just laid down instead of helping me first."
"V-Virge?" Virgil frowned as Roman fussed slightly, panting in his sleep as he tensed. It was obvious he wasn't comfortable and that only served to worry him more. "S-Sorry. I'm... I..." Roman's voice trailed off and slurred with sleep. The younger frowned as he moved to the other sighed and sat on the bed. It wasn't like the two hadn't been in this position before. Every other hotel they've been at only had one bed. Virgil knew Roman wouldn't have minded. It's just... Virgil didn't want to keep putting him in that position. He didn't want to keep forcing Roman into that. Plus... he couldn't keep hurting himself like that. Even still, seeing Roman like this... he couldn't just leave him.
"Roman..." His voice was soft, lulled as if it itself was a dream. He wasn't trying to wake the other up, just letting him know, if possible, he was there. "It's ok."
"S-Storm-m..." Roman rolled onto his side reaching out limply as if trying to hold him. Virgil just smiled as he pushed himself down till he was laying there and held his arm out within reach. The second Roman's fingers brushed against his arm Roman pulled it in and cuddled into him with a small relief filled smile. "S-St-torm..."
"I should have guessed that you were touchy-feely. My Dad is too, especially when sick." Virgil scooched closer trailing his fingers through Roman's hair as he just laid there watched the other breath. "It's ok, Roman. Whatever this is... it'll pass. You'll get better and you'll be feeling right as rain and back to you're normal Princey self." Virgil frowned as Roman hugged him tighter through the shivers his body made, only adding to the pain the younger felt from him. "Actually, hopefully, you feel even better than that. I don't like that you're always hurting."
"I don't understand what's wrong though." Virgil whispered as his fingers trailed Roman's hairline, eyes glowing their bright blue. "Your energy is fine, but you're feverish and clearly shivering. How can you be sick without it affecting your energy? I should just let you rest, huh Roman?" Virgil chuckled as he smiled over at his sleeping prince. "You'll get better sleep without me here bothering you."
"No." Roman whined in his sleep as Virgil went to pull his arm free. Once again he stopped feeling the intense pain that rang through the older. "Don't... Don't g-go."
"Roman?"
"Don't go." Roman pulled his arm in again snuggling up to it tighter making Virgil have to lay down again. "Hurts... don't go."
"Roman, please let go of my arm?" He knew the other was still asleep as this had happened before and Roman didn't even remember doing this once he woke up. It still broke Virgil's heart though. He didn't understand what was wrong. "Ro? Please?"
"Stay..." Roman mumbled voice dripping with sleep as he held on tight. "Stay. Don't go. Don't leave me. Don't..." Roman fussed as if waking up, releasing Virgil's arm who jumped back seeing the immediate pain in Roman as he rolled over. He shivered again letting out a sad breath as he visibly went lax, falling back to sleep. "S-Sorry."
"My dear sweet princey..." Virgil frowned as he just curled up and stared over at the other. After that whole thing, he just couldn't force himself to leave. Roman had literally begged him in his sleep to stay. Would he really have ignored it? "What is going on with you?
As time clicked by and Virgil just laid there, he started to fall back into those thoughts. The thoughts of losing Roman. Of Roman forgetting him or worse... of him forgetting Roman. He couldn't stand the silence and he couldn't stand the empty time. So Virgil pushed himself up out of the bed and set to work doing what Roman had done for him. He helped empty his bag, putting his clothes and things away, before finally going back to his room to sleep for the rest of the night. Hopefully, come tomorrow Roman will be feeling better and Virgil could finally get those thoughts out of his head.
