The two slowly made there way through the cave with Roman taking the lead. The exgod preferred himself in front only so that he could protect the younger but he was started to feel the effects. Demonic aura was toxic. Being in there hideout meant Roman was feeling... not so good. Regardless he pushed through. He had to find Deceit. So what if his head was a bit dizzy.

"So..." Virgil frowned as his own head swam. "I've told you about me but..." He hugged himself as he struggled to keep up with the other. "You haven't really told me much about you."

"Oh, well, what would you like to know?" Roman summand a small flame as the cave started to get darker. Virgil had to blink away the haze.

"You mentioned a god of creativity once? I'm guessing... that's you?" Roman smiled softly as he nodded, his flame flickering a bit before going steady. "What happened?"

"You know the story. I fell in love." Virgil frowned as Roman slowed down a bit giving him time to catch up. The teary look in Roman's eyes pulled at Virgil's heart. "William Shakespear... I stupidly fell for an actor."

"You're the god creativity, Roman." Roman's eyes narrowed as Virgil smiled softly at him. "I would make sense you'd fall for someone creative."

"He's an actor, Virgil. He played me." Roman let out a shaky breath as he continued on oblivious to how Virgil's hands shook. "He didn't know I was a god or... demi. I had to give up my divinity and home just for the chance to see him." Roman swallowed the pain as he bit his lip. "He used me to act in plays. He used me to write them. God, looking back it obvious but... I was in love. I'm a god, Virgil. We don't... love others. I was stupid. I didn't know. We don't know the world like you do. Everything I know now, I learned after I came here. There are things I still don't know." Roman's fingers brushed his lips as he sighed. "Things I'll never learn."

"Oh, I don't know about that, Princey." Roman's eyes shot wide as he looked back to find Virgil trailing behind. "Theres still time to learn everything. You're a god on earth. Use that to your advantage."

"Virgil... I made a promise to myself." Virgil's eyes fell as Roman pushed on with more determination he had before. "I don't intend to break it."

"Right..." Virgil withheld the gasp that wanted to escape as he shook. "You'll never love again." As Roman continued on Virgil couldn't help but slow down. The world was spinning around him and it was getting hard to breathe. His eyes dropped to his wrist only to make him freeze up at the sight. His veins were going black. "R-Ro..."

"We're nearly there Virgil. We should probably be quiet now." Virgil gulped as his anxiety burned through him. He took a deep breath as he followed behind. His throat burned and his chest ached. It was as if his heart was slowing down. It hurt so much. As they reached this room Virgil stumbled unable to catch his breath. He didn't understand. Sure he wasn't well, but he still had some time left. Why was he so sick now?

"R-Rom-man..."

"Give me a second, Virgil." Virgil tensed as this sharp pain sparked down his spine. "I'm going to see if I can pinpoint his aura." Roman closed his eyes just as Virgil started to lose all his strength.

"Ro..."

"Virgil, ple..." Roman's eyes shot wide sensing the near-dead aura beside him. He spun around just in time to catch Virgil who's body was lost to the tremors. "VIRGIL?!" Virgil's skin paled to a literal ghostly white as his eyes glowed brightly with fear. "Virgil, What... what going on? Why..."

"I don't... know." Virgil tensed bad as a cry caught in his throat. Roman's eyes filled with total and complete fear seeing blacked vein literally crawl up the man's neck and arms until he was literally covered. "I can't... I can't breathe."

"VIRGIL!" Fire erupted from Roman's hands as he held the boy tight. He didn't care if he drained himself. Virgil was dying. Literally dying, he could feel it. "I told you not to come. I told you..."

"I thought I had... time." Tears fell down Roman's cheeks as Virgil grasped his hand tightly.  His eyes darted about as the light faded and Roman's chest tightened seeing the fear in him. "I can't... It's gone dark. Roman?"

"I'm still here. It's ok. Virgil, I'm not leaving you." Virgil shook horribly in Roman's arms as his breath start to fade. Virgil's eyes literally turned a pitch black making Roman freak out more and push as much energy as he could into the boy. Roman was physically forcing Virgil's energy to move, making his body circulate the blood... for his heart to beat, but... Roman could feel the strain. Virgil was close to death. That very fact made Roman hurt so much worse than he has ever felt before. Not even Will caused him this much pain. "Virgil, don't... Don't leave me."

"I don't think he has much of a choice." Roman tensed hearing the unfamiliar voice hiss out around him. Virgil's chest started to glow making Roman's blood go cold. He held Virgil tighter. His entire being held but one thought. Virgil NEEDED to live. "He's already dead."

"NO!" Roman gripped Virgil's body as if the world was crumbling away around him. Roman's eyes widened in stunned horror as a small green and blue rock started to come out of Virgil. Realization filled him as he went to grab it only for someone else to first. "GIVE THAT BACK!" The man frowned as he brushed his multi-colored hair aside, his snake eyes literally glowing in the dark. "HE NEEDS THAT!" Deceit raised a brow at the man watching him with a frown.

"There's no point in wasting all that energy." Roman shook his head furiously as he held Virgil tightly. He knew. Virgil's body was only still 'alive' because of what Roman was doing. If Roman stopped that would be it. Virgil would be gone forever. "He's dead."

"NOT IF YOU GIVE THAT BACK!" Deceit laughed as he held it up noticing the fire in Roman's eyes immediately. "PLEASE?!"

"The power of life and creation..." Deceit smirked deviously as Roman whimpered in worry. "...now why would I just give that up?"

"GiVe Me BaCk ThAt FuCkInG HeArT RIGHT FUCKING NOW!" Fire erupted around them as Roman's eyes slowly started to shift in color. Deceit hissed in anger as the god's power branched around them. "I WON'T LET YOU HAVE IT!"

"You won't have a choice if you're both dead." Deceit snarled, fangs in full view, as he held his hand out summoning a dark yellow haze.

"DON'T TOUCH HIM!"
