"One, I still can't believe you risked your life JUST to get flounder. And two... How is this possible?!" Roman yelled out in frustrated confusion as Virgil just giggled. The two of them were once again just walking through the corruption, yet with every step they, or more correctly put Virgil, took the area around them seemed to heal and move away to make a path for them. "Too bad you can't just... magic it all away." Virgil frowned as his hand went to his chest with a sigh. "What?"

"Nothing. I just sort of... wish I could to." Roman smiled sadly as he shook his head and decided just to be silent. He really should be focusing on what was around them anyway. There were other creatures there and... this was around the time he'd start to regret holding out on that kiss. If he was a full god again he could have just teleported them both to Thomas without having to go through all of this. lt was just, he wanted their kiss to be special. He didn't want it to just happen. He wanted it to be something he'd never forget, no matter how much time had passed them. He wanted it to mean everything...

...but his patience was running thin.

Virgil was having a hard time dealing with the silence. It was irritating his anxiety bad. He knew they had to be on the lookout. They had to be on guard. They were in dangerous territory with enemies all around them. It was a wonder they had such an 'easy' time. If that one demon even counted as easy. It only lost because Princy got pissed off. The issue was if they just walked any more in total silence he was sure to break. He just couldn't do it... so...

...He did something about it. He poked Roman on the arm without looking at him making the other hum to acknowledge him. Virgil didn't say anything. He just did it again, purposely not looking over as Roman just hummed a bit louder, staring off into woods around them. So Virgil tapped him again this time making Roman look over at him in confusion to see Virgil not look and his eyes flashed a hazel blue in confusion.

"What?"

"Hmm?" The hazel blue only got stronger as Virgi just walked along staring out at nothing as if on lookout. He wasn't. He was just to busy trying not to break out laughing.

"You were tapping me." Roman's frown grew as Virgil shot him a confused look. "Did you need something?"

"I wasn't tapping you."

"Yes, you were. I felt you tap me." Virgil just rolled his eyes as he turned back away making Roman groan in frustration. "Fine. Whatever." Virgil snickered quietly as he tapped him again making Roman glare at him. "What?"

"What?"

"What do you mean what? I want to know what you want." Virgil was trying so hard to hold back his laughter as he avoided looking at Roman entirely knowing if he did he would break. "You keep tapping me."

"I'm not doing anything but keeping an eye out. Maybe you should do the same?" Roman literally growled as he turned back away before Virgil went to tap him again only to freeze as Roman caught his hand with a smirk. "Shit." Roman's eyes went a darker shade of pink, not the familiar sakura shade he always sees but Pink none-the-less, and Virgil gulped.

"Got you." Virgil laughed as a vine branched down tapping Roman's back, making the man jump and let go of him.

"Oh, do you?" Roman frowned in confusion only to see Virgil take off running.

"Wait, VIRGIL!" Virgil giggled as ran through the brush leaving a trail of purified greenery behind him with every step. Roman was panicking. "Virgil come on. This isn't funny. This is not the time or place to be playing games!"

"Catch me if you can, Princey!" Virgil called out making Roman's eyes flash that playfully pink again.

"God, damn it, Virgil." Roman laughed as he took off running right after him, easily following the trail that Virgil made. Virgil was a giggling mess. Sure he knew they needed to be looking out but he also knew the stress and fear was tearing him to shreds. He needed the release. And by the way he could hear Roman laughing behind him, He knew his boyfriend needed it too. He was laughing like made making his way through the trees only to get one foot into a clearing before getting slammed into. The two of them went tumbling down a small hill before Virgil ended up on top of Roman, pinning him down with a smirk as the other just beamed.

"Marry me." Virgil's eyes went wide as Roman just giggled softly, his eyes an ever-changing sakura and rosy red. "I love you so much."

"R-Ro?" Virgil blushed as Roman paused a bit in concern. "Did you even hear what you just said?"

"What? I said I love you." Roman frowned as Virgil carefully got up letting Roman sit up with a look of concern. "Love, is everything ok?"

"Roman, you just... Forget it. It was just a spur of the moment thing. You caught up in it all and it slipped out. You couldn't help yourself."

"No. No, it wasn't." Virgil froze up as Roman wrapped his arms around him and let out a soft breath. "I love you, Virgil Davis. And sure now is NOT the right time to be asking but you were right about one thing... I couldn't help it. Marry me?"

"Roman..." There was this loud roar making Roman's eyes flash a bright scarlet in anger.

"Of fucking course."
