"Tere. Are ye happy?" Roman teased as Colt playfully swatted his hands away with a dirty look. Roman had set him back up in the living room with his tech and shit so that he had something to do. He was about to sit and join him when there was a sudden blast of wind. Colt's eyes narrowed in confusion as Roman tensed as looked about. The wind ruffled through his hair as Roman paled hearing the message. "Shite."
"So was no one going to tell me my son was kidnapped." Roman flinched this look of terror filling his face to such an extreme even Colt could feel it. Thomas stood there in the doorway glaring angrily at the other god, his rainbow eyes a flurry showing just how angry he was. "Or did you just forget?"
"I... I just... I did forget." Thomas deflated as Roman visibly crashed against his seat. "Shite... I can't believe... I've just been so... I'm such a feckin' arse."
"Roman..." Thomas went to console him only to spot Colt and freeze. Roman tensed seeing the anger in the other god as he quickly jumped up to put himself inbetween the two shocking both men at the action.
"Don't." Roman growled as Colt just stared up at the god in confusion. Thomas was stunned.
"Why the heck not? Maybe you've forgotten this too since your memory is so bad... That's Colt Graberson. The prodigy of the federation... you know... THE ONE THAT HAS VIRGIL!"
"I said don't!" Roman repeated his eyes turning to literal flames catching Thomas off gaurd. "Colt is protected, understand."
"Wait, what?" Roman shot a careful look back to see just how lost the human was. "I'm sorry. Why are you... Roman sit the fuck down. There's no point in fighting your soon-to-be father-in-law. Honestly..." Roman frowned as Colt turned back to the thing he was working on. "I'm not worth it anyway. If he wants me dead then fine."
"Colt, we've been over tis..."
"Yes, we have and who was it that had to talk you into putting that ring back on your finger." Roman flinched as Colt shot him this numb look. "Or did you forget that?"
"Ok I know my memory sucks but fer once can ye stop tryin' to bring it up!" Roman yelled as he fell back into the chair again and grumbled under his breath. "I'm doing te best I can 'ere."
"Roman, please explain to me WHY HE'S HERE?!" Colt flinched bad making him knock over his project and Roman's eyes flashed scarlet. Thomas tensed seeing the red as he sighed and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. Just... try to understand. I found out my son was taken and now that one of the highest members are with you."
"Member?" Colt frowned as Thomas shot him a confused look. "If you call being labled a traitor and having your own older siblings hunting you down to the point where you got shot being a member..." Thomas faltered, his arms falling to his sides, as Colt just smirked. "... then sure... I'm a member. The member that's going to drive a damn stake through the fucking place for killing..." Colt forced himself to look away as he set himself to cleaning up the mess. Thomas looked over to see the black in Roman's eyes and his heart broke.
"Roman, what happened?"
"Alex is dead." The air seemed to go dead as Colt abandonded his stuff and just leaned back against the couch with a very sad look in his dulled out eyes. "He was shot, according to Colt, while they were trying to escape. Colt's the only one who made it..."
"VIRGIL?!"
"Is alive." Colt cut in seeing the pure panic in the elder gods eyes. "He's alive. They won't kill him... but they aren't being kind to him either. I just don't understand the whole purpose of this." Roman frowned seeing the pain that bubbled up in his friend. "None of this would have happened if Virgil wasn't here. He wouldn't be here if he wasn't a god. He wouldn't be a god if he didn't go through all that mess because he was YOUR demi!" His pain seemed to turn to rage but both gods knew. Well, it wasn't hard to see when Colt was literally crying. " Alex wouldn't have ever been involved if Virgil never made HIM a demi. Why do you gods even need demi's? WHAT THE POINT OF RUINNING A PERSONS LIFE?!"
"I never made a demi." Colt's eyes shot wide as Roman smiled softly. Their eyes met as Colt slowly relaxed back into the couch. "In all my life as a god... I just never did. I considered a demi as our way of having kids. I read tat... Tat I thought about making Will one?" Thomas frowned as Roman sighed. "I had to reread tat a lot because I still don't know who tat is but... From what I understand, I wanted to make him one so tat we could be together but it didn't work out. Ten I found Virgil and... I just... when he died it didn't feel right to even think about having a family without him."
"Demi... are your kids?" Colt questioned as he shot a look over at Thomas who nodded.
"Demons and gods don't have the ability to procreate. Not like you human's do... Creating Demi are our way of doing so." Colt actually went lax as he tried to work through everything. Thomas sighed as he sat down beside the human who didn't even flinch as he looked over to see the pain in Thomas's eyes. "We give a human a gift... a token of sorts. One that cannot be broken or lost... With it we are gifting them with our name and power... essentially claiming them as one of ours. Whether it's a God or Demon... Demi's are our children."
"Why do ye think I called Alex me son?" Roman smiled softly as Colt's eyes just darkened. "We don't mean anyone harm. We don't live to make ye suffer. We just live... same as ye but just... differently. Humans... yer all stuck here on earth. Well, God's are stuck in heaven. Ye all fall in love... have families... follow yer passions. We incite it. We don't fall in love. We don't have families. We work to make yer world run 'round. Sure we have friends. I have many friends up tere... but it's not the same." Roman stared at his hands as he sighed and shook his head. "I won't sit here and tell ye tat we're all perfect. Ye know first hand how... fecked up I can be. I just... Being a god isn't about being pure and perfect and holier tat t'ou... It's about using our powers to support ye. We make mistakes." Colt's eyes widdened as he met with Roman's gaze and for the first time in his lifetime, Roman's eyes held a natural green color. "But tat's because we more human ten ye give us credit fer."
