"Colt, please?" Roman was starting to get a bit frantic. He even pulled out Logan's old bed table. He had the food in front of the man but Colt didn't even look at it. "Ye need to eat."

"You don't."

"I'm a god." Roman's eyes were a deep dark blue as Colt just smiled slimly. "I don't need to. Ye do. Please?" Colt didn't move an inch as Roman just deflated. "Colt..."

"Why the hell are you even trying? Last time I checked you hated me."

"My fiance and my son risked everything to get ye to safety." Colt's eyes widened a bit and Roman hesitated a bit seeing the tears building in them. "They both thought ye were worth saving. Virgil made it clear in the video ye were someone we HAD to protect."

"Stop trying to help me." Colt laughed as he shook his head and just glared over at the god. "Your son... He's dead. He's dead because of me. So stop treating me like a little lamb. I'm the enemy. I..." Colt froze eyes glassed over as he smiled sadly. "It's my fault."

"Colt..."

"What I did wasn't enough... I couldn't save him. I should've have done something but I..."

"COLT!" Colt jumped as he looked over to see Roman with black eyes. Roman just sighed as he gently pulled the table away and sat down on the bed. "Don't get me wrong... I don't like ye. We have to much history for me to ignore but... Colt it's been a week."

"Yea and? Let me leave then."

"Ye haven't eaten anything in a week. I've barely managed to get yeto drink anything." Colt's eyes only darkened as Roman stared at his hands. "I've been where ye are, ye know?"

"Sure you have." Colt laughed as he rolled his eyes. "Roman, I don't think you remember. I've read your journal. You have the shittiest memory. Even if you were I doubt you'd even re..."

"I blamed meself for Virgil too." Colt clamed up as his eyes darted over to see Roman just staring blankly, his black eyes filled with tears. "When he died, I didn't even want to talk. I didn't want to do anything. I hid meself away in my room and just stayed there. Logan had to come in and check on me just so that he knew I was ok. That I was still there. I kept reminding him I couldn't die what exactly would I do but... He was genuinely worried. I wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink, hardly slept. When I did I'd have nightmares. I've been where ye are, Colt. I know how bad it hurts."

"I could have saved him." Roman smiled sadly as Colt wiped his tears away. "I know I could have. I just wasn't thinking. I used all my ammo like a moron. I didn't plan. I was so focused on trying to get you there... I didn't even think about getting them out."

"We can still get... Virgil out at least." Colt visibly broke tears streaming harder as Roman honestly felt his heart break. "But I won't do anything until ye are better. I won't risk ye getting worse. I need ye fer this."

"You don't need me." Colt growled as he he shook his head. He gripped his hair as his breathing went ragged. "You don't need me. I'd just end up fucking everything up again. I'd end up getting you all trapped or worse. Virgil killed... I don't want want someone else to die. Not because of me... Not because of my stupid family. Not... Not anymore... never again."

"Let me tell ye something my father told me... well, give and take a few changes, yea?" Colt's eyes narrowed in confusion as Roman smiled softly. "It's going to hurt. When ye lose the one you love, it's the most painful thing. There are people out there who will tell ye everything as a reason. It's a bunch a bollux. Not everything has a reason. Not everything is some sort of test from us gods. However, what happens after means everything. Ye can either lie down and give up or fight. The only true failure is never getting back up. So, Colt... Ye love my son?"

"WHAT" Roman's smiled brightened as he shot the human a silly look.

"I said do ye love my son?" Colt couldn't help but blush his tears falling harder as Roman nodded. "I'm sure he loved ye too. Otherwise I doubt he would have ever let himself die. Point I'm making is... Are ye going to let Alex's death be for naught?" Colt faltered as he looked away in thought. "My son gave his life to keep ye alive. Are ye going to let that be for nothing?"

"Roman..." Colt's voice craked as the god just sighed in understanding. "I don't want to be here without him."

"I get it. I do. I was the same with Virgil. But... Ye can't give up, because... As Logan told me... by giving up ye are actively destroying the very thing they loved." Colt's eyes went wide as Roman slowly got to his feet. "I can't force ye to eat. All I can to is hope ye'll listen to this gods advice. I may not know much, but I've been in yer shoes. So please..." Roman pushed the table back over till the plate was once again in front of colt and he smiled. "Think about what ye really want to do. Think about everything that happened and what would make everything just... a small bit better. Ye blame yerself but... Ye weren't the one ye did it."

"No. Never, I... Damien." Roman's eyes flashed red as Colt glared at the open air. "Damien killed him." Their eyes met and Colt nodded. An unspoken promise filled both their minds as Colt finally started to pick at the food in front of him. Roman smiled softly his eyes turned a relief filled soft brown. Colt carefully placed a small piece in his mouth only for his eyes to go wide in shock. "This is so good. What the fuck?" Roman laughed the brown wisking away to let a playful pink take it's place. "How is this so good?"

"I'm the God of Creativity." Colt simply continued eating as Roman let out a soft breath. "The culinary art fall under that."

"If I knew it was going to be this good, I probably would have eaten a long time ago."
