"Oh, hey, Y/N." Suki called, but you were too busy staring out into the ocean. There were two boys and a girl, doing god-knows-what. You saw the Unagi swim up behind them, and your anxiety spiked as they started to tussle.

A scream caught in your throat as they landed on the shore. "Oh my god!" you cried, running over to them. "Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?" you fussed, turning everyone over to see if they had injuries. "Y/N! What are you doing- who are these people? Y/N, get away from them!" Suki yelled, alerting the other warriors as they rushed over to you and the people.

"Please don't hurt them!" you threw your hands over the newcomers, trying to shield them from the warriors. "Y/N, please step away." Jia warned, but you pulled the youngest one who had a blue arrow on his head closer to you. "No. Look at them, they're children!"

The older boy sat up, groaning. "We're not children! Woah." he stared at your stomach. "How old are you?" you started to become defensive, tugging the child with the blue arrow on his head closer. "I'm fifteen."

"What are you?" the asshole asked again, and the girl swatted at him, finally regaining consciousness. "Sokka, she's pregnant." she scolded. "We need to-" Mei started, but you raised your hand. "No. You will do none of the sort. I vouch for them." Suki sighed.

"Y/N, are you sure?"

"Of course. After all, a princess never goes back on her word." the older boy named Sokka and the girl gasped, and the younger boy started to cough. "Oh, you poor thing." you cooed, patting his back as he started to wake up.

"Are you okay, Aang?" the girl asked. "This is a very touching moment, but-"

"No. I will handle this. I'm strong enough to take them all down, even in my current state. You all should go. Resume doing what you were doing before." you dismissed, and with a few suspicious glances, the warriors of Kyoshi were on their way.

"Are you alright? Do you need medical assistance?" you might've been in Kyoshi for a couple months, and you might hate doing it, but all your years of speaking formally still shone through in your speech. "Oh, no. Here, sit up a little more. You all were amazing out there, by the way. Did the Unagi scare you?"

Sokka scoffed. "Did it scare us? Of course it scared us! It's a water dragon! It looked like it wanted to kill us!" you laughed, patting the younger boy's head. "Ah. I ran when I first came here, too. I was lucky enough to have the island of Kyoshi accept me, although I'm not sure they'll do the same with you."

"What do you mean? Oh, I forgot. I'm Katara. This is Aang, and my brother Sokka." Katara introduced. "You said princess earlier! Are you a princess? Of what nation?" Aang asked, and you smiled sadly. "I am a princess. My name is Y/N, of the Fire Nation." you heard outraged gasps, and you prepared yourself for their anger.

"Why and how are you here, then?" Katara asked, a hint of judgement in her voice. "Isn't it obvious? I don't want to be here. I want to be home, with my siblings." Katara seemed guilty about snapping, but Sokka didn't get the hint.

"Then why don't you go back to your home?!?" he demanded. "I have none." he seemed baffled, before recovering with another insult. "You do! You have everywhere, because you dirty Fire Nation took everything!" he shouted.

"Ah. I see." Aang tried to get you to stop, but Sokka stopped him, telling Aang that he 'wanted to fight you'. "See what?"

"You don't understand the true meaning of what's going on here." you stated, placing your hands on your stomach. "Of course I do!" he protested, pointing at your stomach. "You decided that you were tired of the land you had, and wanted to take more!" Sokka accused.

"I don't get how she's not snapping back at him." Aang whispered to Katara, the two of them watching your one-sided argument with Sokka. "If I had the chance to be home, I would." your answer still didn't satisfy him, though. "You can't just say that, and then not give us more information!"

"Fine. I'm Princess Y/N of the Fire Nation. I was betrothed to a man I did not love for political gain. I found that I was with child, and I knew I had to leave. I was a stowaway on a ship, planning to go to the Water Tribe when I was found suddenly. I escaped, and found myself here."

"But why did you have to leave? It couldn't've been that bad if you stayed." God, Sokka was a dumbass. "Because I was adopted into the royal family. My children won't have gold eyes and black hair, and every member of the royal family has black hair and gold eyes. I would raise suspicion, and that is risking me and my child's life."

"But wouldn't the Fire Lord protect you?" Katara butted in. "No. He banished my older brother a few years back. And I'm not of his own flesh and blood. It would be easier to get rid of me." you explained, feeling something weird on your stomach.

Kick! You felt movement, and your eyes started to water. "Oh my god," the tears spilled over your lash line, leaving trails of pale yellow. "They're kicking! Dear lord, my babies are-"

"Wait. Babies, plural?" Aang asked. "Yeah," you said, ignoring how Sokka started to stare at your tear tracks. "I have twins. They're kicking." you laughed, feeling all your worries melt away as you felt movement.

"Can I...feel?" Aang asked, and you grabbed his hand, placing it onto the spot where your babies were kicking. "Y/N? Is everything-" Suki walked back to the beach to see a teary you, a confused Sokka and Katara, and an Aang in wonder as he felt your kicking stomach.

"Suki, they're kicking!" her eyes lit up. "They are?" she asked, kneeling down to feel your stomach. "They are. Oh my god, I have healthy babies." you wiped your tears, feeling nothing but pure elation.

"Who's the father?" Aang asked, and you felt all your positive emotions crash. Was he not listening when I was talking? Man, that's rude. "A douchebag three times my age. Let's go, I don't have all day." you got up, brushing off your dress.

"Y/N, I can handle them," Suki offered. "Your babies are kicking, you should celebrate." she insisted, making a shooing motion with her hands. "Are you sure?" she nodded. "Yeah. Now go, before I change my mind."

You grinned. "Thank you so much, Suki!" you waddled off, sadly being able to hear their next conversation. "She was crying yellow! Did you not see that?!?"

"She said that her eyes aren't naturally gold. Maybe she did something, and that's just a side effect." Katara suggested. "Yeah! What else could happen, Sokka?" Aang chimed in. "I...don't know. Something just seems off about her, I guess."
