Someone growled, and you woke up to see two groups of people glaring at each other. You slid off of Appa, feeling a headache starting to form. "Anyway, what's the problem?"

"Fire Nation." someone snarled. "No, foreigner. The name's Y/N, nice to meet you." the guide peered at your clothes, scratching his chin. "You're the princess. The missing one, from the Fire Nation."

"I swear, I can never have any fucking peace-" both tribes started to stalk towards you, but you were smart enough to throw up a wall of rock. "Fuck off." you glared. "How can she be?" one of the tribe members breathed in awe.

"Be what? I'm not the Avatar, assholes. That's him." you jerked your thumb over to Aang, who was playing around with his stick. He looked up at you, grinning sheepishly. "Then how can you bend two elements? Or can you only bend earth?" the leader of one of the tribes took a step towards you, and you yawned.

"Fuck that. I don't need to show guys guys shit. I'm tired. I'm gonna sleep, tell me when we're in the next town." you climbed back onto Appa, but Aang stopped you before you could go to sleep. "Let's just wait a minute until the guide comes." you nodded, falling asleep anyway.

"Our elderly are weary for travel!" someone boomed, and you groaned, sitting upright. "Just take both, you idiots. You're adults, act like it."

"Y/N should go with-"

"No. My tribe refuses to be near someone who we are fleeing from. Especially their princess." the leader of one of the tribes asserted. "That's fine. I don't even know what's going on. But if it helps, I'm also a refugee."

"Oh, please. What could you possibly be running from?" you got a distant look in your eyes, and everyone could tell that you weren't with them. You were there with them, but you weren't there with them.

"My husband." you finally spoke, surprising everyone. "I'm running from my family and my husband so I can provide a better life for my children. I refuse to let my daughter be married off, and I refuse for my son to go to war before he can even think for himself. So shut up and stop judging before I get angry."

You slid off of Appa's back. "What's going on? I'd like a straight answer please, nothing negative about myself or the people I'm travelling with." Were they your friends? Aang for sure was...but Katara and Sokka? You weren't too sure. "They're travelling together, and we're using Appa to get across the sick and the elderly. Do you wanna go, too?" Aang summed up, looking at you with a hopeful expression.

You surveyed everyone, seeing their glares directed towards you and the opposite tribe. "I'll go!" you announced. "I don't believe that we should trust you, so I'll come along if any fighting starts. Besides!" you shot a knowing look towards the guide. "I'm great company!"

"Stand back! I got this!" you threw your hands up in front of everyone, distracting the canyon crawler as you sent blasts of fire towards it. You let out a guttural scream, bending whatever you could as you tried to get the creature to go away. "Fuck you! You bitch!" you yelled, and the little shit finally scurried away.

"My arms! They're broken!" the guide cried, and you helped him up. "I can earthbend, can you show me what it takes?" he furiously shook his head no. "I can't. I can't move my hands, I'm sorry." you led him over to Aang, letting the airbender take the guide.

"Shit. I knew I should've gone with Appa." you sighed as the tribes started to argue. "Shut up! I have a headache. Just split up." your vision started to go fuzzy, and suddenly you couldn't see anything at all as your head was blanketed in pain. "Aang, I'm blind again. Ouch, shit." tears squeezed themselves from your eyes, making the pain worse.

"You're crying yellow!" you snorted, starting to fumble around. "Yeah. My eyes are dyed, get over it. Now can someone help me before I trip? I'm seriously in pain." you grabbed on to what you thought was Aang. "Over here, Y/N!" Aang's voice came from behind you.

"Well, jeez. Just say that to the blind girl. God, you lot are assholes. Fucking help me, before I decide to go off on my own and you guys are left with no firebender." you threatened, and that did the trick. Aang grabbed your arm, slinging it over his shoulders.

"Split up. There are different paths that lead to the same place. Go, and go before you upset Aang further."

"Come with us. You're royalty, I'm sure you don't want to be with a dirty Zhang." Their voice was sour. "Excuse me? No. Aang, you go choose a side, and bring Momo. I'll figure this shit out by myself." how, you had no fucking clue. Your head was pounding, and you wanted nothing more than a nap.

"No. Come with us, we can treat you like you want to be treated. Like a person." a gruff voice spoke from your side. "I literally can't see shit, and you're pulling this now? No. Katara, Sokka. Go with whoever. Me and Aang will go in the middle, however that works. The faster we start walking, the faster we're out of here and you're away from your enemies."

Aang sighed, staring wistfully at the tents. "It'll be okay, Aang. One night of loneliness is better than them fighting, right? This is just the role of the mediator. And besides, you have me." you comfortingly patted his shoulder, giving him a quick side hug.

"When is your baby coming, kid?" the guide pointed to your stomach, staring quizzically at it. "I have twins. I don't actually know when they'll be here, though. My mother never taught me anything about having children." he nodded, throwing another twig into the fire. "Ah. Any names?" tears pricked your eyes as you remembered Zuko telling you to not name your son after him.

You swallowed your emotions, giggling softly. "Yeah. Zuko and Azula, after my brother and sister. I'm also really sorry for coming here. I can't imagine how it must feel to have to guide me." he chuckled a little, patting his inflated gut. "It's alright. You have a reason. In fact, I can't imagine how it feels to be you."

"Woah! There will be no fighting to the death!" you stepped in between the two leaders, holding your hands out. "You two need to calm down!" in all the commotion, Aang had used his airbending to separate everyone. They stumbled back, their bags of...food? "Are you fucking kidding me?!?" you demanded. "You idiots!" but you couldn't deny how good the bread looked. You snapped yourself out of it, seeing a bunch of canyon crawlers crawl out of the cracks in the stone.

"You're not serious, right? You actually did this?" you fought one of the crawlers off, blasting its furry body with fire. You evaded the creatures, fending them off as Aang thought. "I have an idea!"

"This isn't a good idea." you murmured as the crawlers began to climb up the wall. You screamed as it suddenly got faster, and you held onto it's freaky little legs for dear life. You finally reached the flat ground, and you untied the bag of food from its head, throwing it over the cliff.

The tribes started to fight again, and you stepped in. "Shut up. It's both of your faults. I'm pregnant with twins, and I still didn't bring food in. What makes any of you think that you can? Do you realize how sick that is? We could've died, and all for a day's worth of food. I'm not above fighting all of you, so continue to argue and piss me off. Go on." you glared.

"I was there!" Aang piped up. He started to explain the story of Wei Jin and Jin Wei. "That's what started this whole feud? Are they that childish?" you asked as you and your friends went to go find Appa. "No! But I needed them to stop fighting, so I had to lie."

You grinned, punching his shoulder. "Damn. Remind me to never get in a fight with you."
