You watched as Katara defeated yet another opponent in battle. "Woo! Go Katara!" you yelled, cheering her on. Pakku complimented her, while scolding Aang for not trying hard enough. "Hey, he's trying his best." you defended.
"And what are you doing?" Pakku snarkily asked. "Raising a family. Something you never got to do with Kanna. Which I can see why, now. You're an asshole." you clapped back, satisfied with his speechlessness. "That was low, Y/N."
"And? It's the truth."
You saw the gray particles, sticking out your tongue to taste them. You spat it out, before realization crashed on you like a tsunami. "Shit."
"It saddens me to say that some of you might come back." Chief Arnook continued to lecture, but you had slipped out of the room already. "Alright. Now, I just need to find someone to take care of you."
"Miss, miss!" you heard someone call. You turned around to see an older woman who was trying to get your attention. "You're a warrior, miss. Do you need me to watch after your kids while you attend battle?" your heart melted. "Yes. Please, thank you so much. Their names are Zuko and Azula. My name is Y/N. I'll find you after the battle. Here, use my scarf." you fastened the red cloth around the woman's neck as fast as you could, still being gentle. After all, your children were in there. "Thank you. So, so much. I owe you a lifetime of favors, miss." you kissed your children's heads, bidding them goodbye.
You jumped onto Appa's back, avoiding the attacks aimed at you. You jumped off, landing on one of their decks. You yelled a battlecry, freezing them to the floor with your waterbending. You lit a small flame by each of them, making sure that the wood was dry so it would burn. You jumped onto the next ship, doing the same thing.
You took Azula and Zuko back from the old lady, so indescribably happy that you got to see your babies again. "I missed you, my loves. They've retreated, but they'll likely come back tomorrow morning. Could you watch them again, miss?" the old lady nodded. "Eskan's my name. Call me that, miss." you started to breastfeed Zuko and Azula. "Only if you call me Y/N, Eskan."
"Aang, are you sure this'll work?" you fretted, starting to pace. "Shh, Y/N. He needs to focus." you nodded, shutting up. You watched as Aang began to meditate, trying to connect with the Spirit World. He yelled at Yue and Katara, who were speaking to each other in hushed tones.
"I can protect Aang. And we have Y/N here, too. It'll be okay." Katara assured Yue. Katara let out a shout of surprise, and you turned to see your brother. "Prince Zuko," you growled out. "Yue, go get some help. Katara and I can hold him off." Katara swept her hand, aiming to freeze Zuko, but he dodged it.
You grabbed Yue's wrist right before she was about to leave. "Take Zuko and Azula. I couldn't bear the thought of my children getting hurt." she nodded, and you gave her your sleeping children. She ran out, and you saw that Zuko was encased in ice.
"Yue, run! Go, now!" you screamed as Zuko shot a fire blast towards the princess. You panicked, throwing yourself in front of it. It hit you square in the chest, the fire burning through your clothes and into your skin. "Don't take Aang! Please, Prince Zuko! I beg of you!" he stared you in the eyes, seeing your bloody form. He sent a fire blast towards Katara, slamming her against a gate post. She fell to the ground, unconscious. You had to watch, helpless, as your brother toted Aang out of the oasis.
"I'm sorry, Katara." you apologized, your head hanging low. "Where are Zuko and Azula?" Sokka asked. "Yue still has them. I just hope she isn't in trouble. My brother has Aang, too. I'm so sorry, guys. It's all my fault."
