"You go explore, I feel like something's about to happen." you kissed Haru's cheek. "Wait! Take Zuko and Azula, please?" he nodded, taking them and maneuvering the scarf. "Thanks, Haru." He, Teo and the Duke went to go explore.

"We have an invasion plan, but it won't be easy. We need to be patient, and we need to have a longer conversation than the one we're having now. Aang, you need a firebending teacher." you faced your friend, who looked dejected. "Why can't you do it, Y/N?"

"It's not my place. The universe has shaped our destinies, I'm a malfunction. I know that you'll find someone else, I refuse to do it." Katara stood up, staring angrily at you. "You need to do it! We won't find someone else in time!"

"You will. Might I remind you that the only reason I'm here is because I died in my past life. I know how these things work, It's not supposed to be me. Kick me out for all I care, I won't do it."

"There's gonna be someone else to teach him." you groaned. "Listen. There is, I know it. It's just not me. You guys have to believe me."

"Aang, we need to talk to you about firebending!" Katara called, and Aang made up a quick lie about not being able to hear her. "Oh! I need you to show you the giant Pai Sho table! You'll love it!"

"I think that'll have to wait." you turned, seeing a familiar figure emerge from the shadows. "Hello, Zuko here." your brother said. Tears presented themselves, and you slipped away before he could notice you.

You watched behind a pillar as your friends rejected Zuko. As they should. You thought bitterly. Yeah, you loved him, but you couldn't just forgive him. You've tried, and you failed. "Where's Y/N? I thought she would be with you." he even sounded different, his voice was less sharp, softer.

"I'm not surprised that she doesn't want to see you. She hasn't told us much, but we've heard enough to know that you've put her through a lot." Katara defended you. "Where are my- her children?" this idiot.

"They're with someone else. It's a pleasure to see you again, Prince Zuko." you stepped out from behind the pillar, bowing to your brother. "Who are you?" you clenched your fists. "Y/N. I'm Y/N, Prince Zuko."

"Impossible." tears slipped down your cheeks, and you suppressed your sobs. "That's enough. You need to get out of here. Now."

"If you won't accept me as a friend and brother, then maybe you'll take me as a prisoner." Zuko dropped to his knees, holding his wrists out.

"No." you spoke up. "Prince Zuko, my friends need time. Please-"

"We won't!" Katara blasted water at him, making him fall. "Get out of here, and don't come back! And if we ever see you again, well, we'd better not see you again!" Zuko nodded sadly, walking back to wherever he came from.

You collapsed to your knees, your sobs wracking your form. "Y/N!" your friends surrounded you as you cried. "I can't. I can't, I can't, I can't!" your voice cracked, and you were sure that your brother could hear your screams. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm calm. I'm calm." you said, more to yourself than your friends.

"I can't believe he would try to fool us like that, especially with Y/N." you shuddered. "I'm okay. I'm okay. But guys, I have to tell you something."

"What is it, Y/N?"

"He's the firebending master. I could feel it."

You walked away, leaving your friends to argue as you tried to find Haru. When you found them, you couldn't help but smile at how cute Zuko and Azula looked. They were playing together with some rocks. "Hello, my little loves. Are you having fun?"

"Mama! Mama!" you chuckled, coming to sit by your kids. "Now, where is Haru?"

"Have any of you seen Toph?"

"I haven't seen her since she stormed off yesterday."

"Maybe she's exploring the Air Temple. There are some pretty fun spots to practice earthbending." Haru suggested. "I think we should find her." you shook your head, letting Zuko suck on your spoon.

"No. Katara, searching for her will only make her want to run away more. We'll wait. But, The Duke, Haru, Teo, you're free to go look for her." the three of them left. "No, be careful." you took the spoon out of Zuko's mouth, feeding him a little more.

"Toph! What happened?" you gasped, going over to help Katara heal her. "My feet got burned."

"What happened?" you shook your head at Katara's cluelessness. "My feet got burned." Toph answered, a bite in her voice. "I meant how."

"Don't tell me. You saw Zuko, didn't you? You startled him, and he attacked. You weren't able to defend in time, and your feet were burned." you guessed. "Yeah."

"It's gonna take a while for your feet to get better. I wish you would've come to us earlier."

"Yeah, me too."

"We're gonna go after him. It might've been an accident, but he's too dangerous to be left." your friends agreed with Sokka, and they came up with a plan. You chimed in a couple times, correcting them here and there.

You screamed, running to a safer place. "I can't fight him with you two, so I'll put you two here." you ran into a random room, tucking Zuko and Azula into a corner. "Mama!" you used the scarf to cover them, committing the room to memory. "Shh, my loves. You have to be quiet. I'll come for you later."

"Your job's over! I won't pay you! Or, I'll pay you double!" your brother was arguing with Sparky Sparky Boom Man. You bit your hand to keep from yelling as he managed to push your brother over the ledge and to his death. It doesn't matter, anyway. You tried to assure yourself, running into battle with Sparky Sparky Boom Man.

Sokka threw his boomerang at him, and you watched as Sparky Sparky Boom Man... glitched. He was losing consciousness, and his firebending was out of control. You looked away, shielding your eyes. You heard the rumbling of what sounded like a cliff falling, and you looked to see his metal hand falling.

"I've got you, my loves. Nobody's ever gonna hurt you again." you snuggled into your children, grateful that they weren't hurt.

"I can't believe I'm saying this... but thanks, Zuko."

"Hey, what about me? I did the boomerang thing!"

Zuko started to monologue, apologizing to Toph and saying some uninteresting things about his honor. Aang responded to him, saying that Zuko should be his firebending teacher and yadda yadda.

"Thank you. I'm so happy you accepted me into your group." your brother bowed to Aang, but the airbender held up his hand. "Not so fast. I have to ask my friends, and," he gestured to you. "you need to apologize to Y/N."

"I-"

"It's alright. You've done nothing wrong, Prince Zuko. In fact, I haven't been wronged by anyone in the royal family. You've all treated me so well."

"Y/N-"

"I feel like he should be accepted. Aang, you ask the others what they think. It's not my place." you shouldn't be here, Zuko. I hate your fucking guts. You can go die in a hole. You smiled, looking the complete opposite of what you were feeling.

"I hope you enjoy it here, Prince Zuko." you led your brother to his room, ignoring the burning pain of seeing your brother again. "Y/N, I..." he put a hand on your shoulder, but you shrugged it off.

"I hope you enjoy it here, Prince Zuko."
