"You're not going to stay here, are you?" Katara's voice was hopeful. "I won't. After all, I promised my children good lives. I won't stop until I get said good life. Even if it takes years, I'll do it. Let's go, before I change my mind." you climbed onto Appa, your children nestled comfortable in your scarf.

"Can I see them?" Aang asked, trying to peer into your scarf. "Sure, but give me a second. I can't wake them up." you gently pulled Zuko out of your scarf, laying him on your lap. "There's Zuko." you fished Azula out next, picking Zuko back up and presenting your children to the airbender.

"And there's Azula." Sokka's eyes bulged out of his head. "You actually named your kid Zuko?!? The same Zuko who's chasing us?!? What are you, nuts?!?" you hissed a quick 'shut up' to him, warning him to not wake up your babies. "Would you like to hold one of them, Aang?" he nodded, gingerly taking Azula from your arm.

"Katara, take Zuko. I trust that you know how to hold a baby, and I need to teach Aang." you scooted towards your friend, adjusting his arms until Azula was being properly held. Azula started to cry, not used to being jostled, and you shushed her. "Shh, baby. I got you. Sorry, Aang. And everyone else, too. The sound of children crying can't be pleasant. Shh, my darling."

You rocked your daughter, cooing to her. "Oh, I should feed them. Please hand me Zuko, Katara. Sokka, stop glaring before I throw you off of Appa." you made eye contact as you breastfed your kids, not breaking the staring contest. "Can you not do that? It's weird." you grinned as he turned away.

"It's the same way you were fed, Sokka. It's the same way your wife will feed your children when you grow older. You won't be in a cocoon of ignorance for much larger." you patted Zuko's back, burping him and handing him off to Katara. Azula started to cry again, and you rocked her.

"God, how did that one song go?" it was a faint memory, but it was a song you had heard before. It went like...there it was! You started to hum a tune, calming Azula enough for her to fall back asleep. "Here, hand me Zuko. Sokka, would you like to hold one of them?"

He crossed his arms over his chest, turning his face away. "Please, Sokka? You might hate the namesake of my son, but I promise that baby Zuko isn't that bad. Neither is baby Azula." he reluctantly held his arms out, and you were quick to place Zuko in his arms.

Zuko gurgled, and you didn't miss the small smile that spread across Sokka's face. "See? They're not that bad." you watched as Zuko fell asleep in Sokka's arms, a small smile on the baby's face. "He's...okay." you chuckled. "Just okay? Are you sure?"

"Fine. He's a decent baby." you reached your hand out for your son, but Sokka refusing to give him over was all you needed to know. "Aang, would you like to hold Azula? She won't bite, I promise." you yawned, your overall exhaustion getting to you. "Do you want a nap, Y/N? We can look over Zuko and Azula." Katara suggested, and then you were out.
