Elestra yawned and glanced at the time. 9:15. It was 15 minutes past curfew. She had been studying for the test they had tomorrow. Umbridge had made the rules incredibly strict and anyone that would get caught would have to face extreme consequences.

Closing her notebook, she tied her hair back and looked out of the window in Griffindor tower. She caught sight of someone wearing a dark heavy cloak hurrying somewhere. The mysterious figure took off the hood to look around a while. It was Nicole. What was she doing? She knew very well how much trouble she could get in.

Thoughtlessly, Elestra threw her cloak around her shoulders and decided to talk to her or warn her. Elestra rushed out of the dormitory and common room, trying her best not to be spotted. If she was fast enough, she could get to Nicole without loosing her. Dull lights were present around corridors which helped her get past.

It seemed as if Nicole was heading to the dungeons. What could she be doing here? What if she got caught by Snape- or worse Umbridge-?

Elestra suddenly heard a familiar clomping of heels. She knew exactly who it was. Elestra froze. She was so afraid her brain couldn't react. She felt a hand grab her wrist and yank her behind a wall. She let out a sudden yelp and the hand covered her mouth.

The footsteps drew near until they stopped. Elestra's heart was thumping so hard, she thought it would leap out. But she knew she had to keep quiet. Umbridge was right near them, waiting for a noise. When she heard nothing, she continued patrolling the hallways.

The hand let go of Elestra's mouth and she let out a breathe. Turning around, she saw a recognisable face.

"MALFOY?!" she cried, leaning back against the crack against the wall as they were only inches away.

The hand clamped around her mouth again, ushering her to be quite. The space between them didn't seem to matter to him. His other arm was pressed against the wall, pinning her against it.

He came close to her and whispered in her ear, "Now, I'm gonna let go, and you won't yell, okay?"

Elestra nodded quickly and Draco let go.

"D-Draco? W-What are you doing here?!" she mumbled, still pretty stunned by what had just happened.

"Ellington-" Draco let out a disappointing breathe and put his hands on his hips, "it's past curfew and you are hanging around the dungeons- which I might add- is the Slytherin dormitory. I think I should be the one asking that." he said quietly.

Elestra stumbled, "I-I'm sorry- I was following Nicole and- and I didn't know what I was doing- and you-"

Draco put his hand on her mouth, again, "How many times do I have to tell you? Be quiet, you'll get us caught!" he whispered.

Elestra nodded again, and they heard some shuffling in the back. "Who's that?" Elestra whispered back, quietly this time.

"I don't know, let's see, but be careful..." Malfoy mumbled as they peered out of the crack behind the wall they were hiding in.

There they saw Nicole and Pansy sitting on a bench near the Slytherin dormitory, holding hands and talking to each other, trying to be as quiet as possible.

"Aww...they're together!" Elestra said, heartfelt.

"I knew Pansy was hiding something," Draco mumbled to himself, smiling smally.

"We shouldn't interrupt- I'm heading back Draco,"

"Meow"

Elestra turned to leave and immediately paused in her tracks. And slowly looked down.

A pair of large red eyes were glaring at her, observing. Draco looked back to, fear flared in his eyes, "Filch's Cat!"

"Oi! Who's there?!" They heard a cranky voice call from behind them.

"Run!" Elestra hissed and she grabbed Draco's hand bolted to the hallway near their right.

"Come back here ya brats!" Filch called from behind as he chased them.

This had alerted Nicole and Pansy who hid as quickly as possible

Elestra and Draco ran as fast as they could, taking random turns trying to loose him. Mr Filch shouted at them, demanding for them to stop. They couldn't help but chuckle, they could get in so much trouble and yet they found it so amusing that the school caretaker was chasing them down dark, quiet hallways in the middle of the night. (It was only 9:30) At first Elestra was ahead, pulling Draco behind her as he occasionally tripped, trying to get back on his feet, but once he caught up, he was leading the way- and he knew exactly where to go. The paintings surrounding them had woken up and were whining about not being able to get sleep. They started yelling at Filch assuming he was the one making noise.

Draco took Elestra to the gap behind the library. It was a small space, but it had seemed that they lost Filch. When they reached there, they gasped for air after running so much. Elestra tossed her head back and looked at the ceiling, trying to laugh as quietly as possible.

"Wow...who would've thought old Filch could run?" Draco said between breathes, still laughing for some reason.

"If we got caught, he would've grilled us!" Elestra joked, wiping a tear from her eye.

"HAHAHAHA! and then spiced up with salt and turned us into a kebab!"

"And then Umbridge would chew us and shit us out from her stuck up ass"

They continued to mock and ridicule the teachers for a while, frequently silencing one another, but failing to keep as quiet as they'd wanted.

"My, Ellington, you are so cruel! Who knew you could crack up insults that offensively hilarious!" Draco said as their conversation came to an end.

"I was just being honest! And- we should head back, we could get caught-" Elestra suggested, but she didn't want to go back. She wanted to stay here with him, messing around like nothing mattered.

"Yeah, you want me to walk you back to your dorm?" Draco asked without thinking, surprised at how kind he was being to some...mudblood...but he didn't want to think of her that way, she wasn't the way his dad told him mudbloods were. Elestra nodded.

They walked back, silent and awkward. The hallways were pretty empty and there was nobody around.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow, then," Draco mumbled when they finally reached.

"Good night!" Elestra muttered.

"Good nigh-" before he could finish, Elestra got on the balls of her feet and quickly pecked him on his cheek, resulting him to blush suddenly. She sneaked into the common room and left him there, speechless.

An uncontrollable, goofy smile covered his face. He threw the hood of his cloak, over his head and sneaked back to his dorm. He couldn't help but replay the scene in his head many times.
