Tris POV
The day goes by fast and most of it is a blur. The final bell rings and I'm relieved to be leaving. I go to my locker to grab my things when a folded note falls out of it. It lands on my shoe and I pick it up. I unfold it and read...

Beatrice~
Excited for tonight! I took care of your parents.. (Told them we had an assignment to work on. At my house)
Can't wait to see you. I love you
~Tobias

It makes me smile. I had been worrying about what to tell my parents but I'm glad that I don't have to anymore. "Hey beatrice!" A voice calls me as I'm walking home. "Hi Susan." I say smiling. "Going home?" She asks me. I nod. "Can I walk with you?" She asks. "Sure." I say. It'll be nice to have some company. "How was your day?" She asks looking up at the sky. "Good. How was yours?" I ask kindly. "Pretty good. I got an A on an exam so that made my day." She says proudly. "That's great!" I exclaim. I don't get that exam back till tomorrow. "So any plans for this evening?" She asks me. Should I tell her? Should I mention tobias??

"No not really.." I reply. But as soon as I say that I get nervous. What if she asks me to do something with her, I can't blow off tobias! "Are you?" I ask weakly. "Actually I am!" She says with a big grin and I feel relief. "Family night!" "That sounds fun." I say. She nods and we reach her house. "See You tomorrow!" Susan says as I go walk to my house. It's only a couple houses away.

I open the door and my father is at the kitchen table reading the newspaper. "Hello beatrice! Are you grabbing your things to go work on that project?" He asks me. "Oh yea. I'm gonna go up and grab my things." I say with a smile. I reach my room and mother is in there folding clothes. "Hello beatrice! How are you?!" She says happily. "I'm good! Just grabbing my things to go work on my project." I answer grabbing a bag. "We'll have fun dear!" She says still smiling.

My mother is always happy. Always has a smile. She loves to help people- all people. She has compassion like no other.

I say goodbye to my father and caleb who just got home. I close the door behind me and start walking to Tobias's. The sky is a brilliant blue and in the distance you can tell that dusk is coming. I spot his house and with a deep breathe I knock on the door.
