Tris POV
"My names Eric. I'm one of your leaders." A tall man who is covered with tattoos and piercings announces. I see him standing on top of a roof, we all gather round him. "This is the way in.. If you don't have the guts to jump then I guess you don't belong in dauntless." He says and I feel tobias tense up. "What's wrong?" I whisper to him while some erudite boy asks a question. "The.. Um.. Heights." He says and looks as if he'll faint. "It's okay. How bout we jump together." I look into his blue eyes and he nods. He looks relieved a little but still nervous.
We watch as one after another they jump, till tobias and I and some girl are left for last. She goes up and jumps. She must be dauntless born because she acted as if it were a hobby. "Are you ready?" I ask him and he doesn't answer right away but some nods. "We are going together." I tell Eric. He glares but doesn't say anything. I take Tobias's hand and I squeeze it. "On 3 okay.." I say and start to count softly.
