Tobias POV
"My names.. Four." I say. I've remade myself, I am no longer abnegation tobias eaton. Son of a monster, now I'm four. Dauntless. "Welcome to dauntless." The man says and tris and I join the line of other initiates. "I'm max, I'm a leader here. Eric and I will be your instructors now follow us. Tris laces her fingers in mine and I smile a little. There's comfort In her touch. "This is the pit. It's the center of life here." I watch tris eye it and here amazement of it. They show us the chasm and then leads us to our sleeping areas. "Pick a bed and get changed!" Eric says and leaves us. I choose one next to tris of course and Zeke is on the other side of me. Christina the candor girl tris made friends with is next to her too. "Should we go to dinner?" Tris asks me and I nod.

We find seats, it's loud and rambunctious in here. I sit next to tris and a boy named will. Tris and I look at the food and we must have confused faces on, "What's the matter?? Your looking like you've never seen food before!" Zeke says with a laugh. "Not this food." I answer but we both grab some anyway. Right away it's better then any food I had back home. It has flavor and texture. Christina and a boy named al talk and tris chimes in at times. Zeke and i talk some, I'm starting to like him. Will rambles on, sounding like a true erudite!

We all head back to our beds and lay down to get some sleep. Tris and I gave each other, her eyes still shine in the darkness. "Why four?" She whispers. I sigh, "Four fears.." I say and i think I see her nod. "I like it! Can I still call you tobias though?" She asks and I smirk. "Yea. I like hearing you say my name. Just call me four around others." She smiles and shifts to get closer to me. Soon her lips are on mine.

Sparks fly as we kiss, I love her and she's made me whole again. I was damaged, I'm still damaged. But day by day she picks me up, dusts me off and starts to heal me.
