Chapter 21

Tris POV
I find my mother and father in the living room talking. "Mom.. Dad?" I say coming in. "Hello beatrice dear!" My mother says. "I was wondering if one of my good friends could stay the night?" I ask. I take a deep breathe, I'm nervous of their response. My mother looks to my father and exchange looks. "Sure beatrice!" My mother says with a smile. "That sounds fine beatrice." My father says and my mother goes up to my room to lay out a cot on the floor. I run outside and find tobias.

"They said yes!" I squeal. He smiles and kisses my cheek. I lead him inside and introduce him to my father. "Tobias this is my father. Father this is tobias." I say and they shake hands. "It's a pleasure Mr. Prior." He says in his kindest voice possible. "Tobias. Tobias... That name sounds so familiar! Wait.. Your Marcus's son aren't you?!" My father says. "Yes sir." My father smiles and I take tobias upstairs. "Mom.. This is tobias." I say as we get to my room. She turns around and gives him a big hug. "Tobias!!! Eaton right?" She asks. "Yes. That's me!" He says. "Well you make yourself comfortable! And have fun you two!" She says and closes my door as she leaves. "Wow she sure thought of everything!" Tobias says looking at the floor next to my bed. There's a cot, 3 pillows and 5 blankets. "Yes she did!" I laugh a little.

"Well I'm going to change for bed." I tell him and he says he will too. I go to the bathroom and change into my pajamas. I come back to my room and find tobias on the cot covered with a Blanket. I get into my bed, "Why are you sleeping down there?" I ask tobias. He doesn't answer right away but then he does. "I just assumed.. But um.." He stutters. "You can sleep up here with me if you want." I offer and he smile. He gets up and I didn't realize he sleeps in only his boxers. I try not to stare to long, he crawls into my bed. He wraps his arms around me and kisses my cheek. "Goodnight beatrice." He whispers. "Goodnight tobias." I say back and as I'm falling into my dream I hear him say "I love you."
