Chapter 24

Tris POV
"Oh tobias! It's so wonderful to see you again!" My mother says as we walk into the living room. "And you Mrs. Prior." Tobias replies. "Call me Natalie!" She exclaims. "Tobias can stay the night right?" I ask my mother and she nods and smiles. Tobias and I start going up the stairs when mother calls back "Your father will be home in 20 minutes." "Alright mom." I say and lead tobias to my room.

"Here sit in the bed, I'm going to go get the first aid kit." I say going into the bathroom closest. I get back and tell him to take off his shirt. He smirks and I roll my eyes. He takes it off and most of the blood is dried by now but big purple and black bruises are appearing. I rub some alcohol on and he clutches the sheets trying not to scream out in pain. "I'm sorry." I say putting some cream onto his wounds. "It's...." He winces again. "Alright." He finishes. I lastly our bandages on and kiss his forehead. "There you go. Now I'll get you a clean shirt since that one has blood stains." He nods and I walk into Caleb's room. I knock on the door. "Come in." He says and I enter.

"Hey caleb. Can I borrow one of your t-shirts?" I ask and gives me a confused look. "Well my answer is yes.. But I'd like to know why you desire my t-shirt?" He says waiting for my reasoning. "It's tobias. He just needs a change of shirt." I say and he nods. "He's here again?" He asks and his tone shifts. "Yes." I answer taking the shirt in my hand. "Why?" "Your a curious fellow aren't you??" I say back smirking. "I just think it's odd." "Why would you think that caleb?" He looks at me to answer. "Because he's a boy." I laugh. "What?" He asks confused by my laughter. "It's funny." I answer. "It's actually not." He says getting annoyed. "Well.. Thanks for the shirt." I say rolling my eyes as I leave.

I get back to my room and toss tobias the shirt. "Here.. Took me forever to get it." I say exaggerating. He smiles just a bit. "Got homework to do?" I ask him. He nods so we both work on it for about an hour. I can hear my father and caleb talking in the living room, but we both stay here till we finish.
