Tobias POV
After my talk with Shauna, I go to the dorms to find tris. I see her sitting on the bed reading and holding an ice pack up to her jaw. "Hey." I say approaching her. "Hey." She says. I sit down next to her and she closes her book. "How Ya feel?" I ask. She shrugs. "Like I got punched in the jaw." She says. I can tell talking hurts her more so I don't push with the questions.
She seems to be staring off into space and I myself am thinking of things. Should I tell her about Shauna? If I do will she be mad? I don't want to make her upset when she's in pain, but is this something I should keep from her? I sigh giving up on what to do.
"What's wrong?" Tris asks me. "Hmm?" I ask not realizing she had asked me something. "What's wrong tobias?" She asks. "Nothing." I say and she doesn't buy it. "Don't lie to me." She says. Her eyes looking into mind as if they were searching for the answer. "I just have things on my mind." I tell her. She nods. "Like what?" She asks. I look to her and take a deep breathe.
I'm going to tell her.
