Alyssa’s P.O.V.

“Goodbye,” I said to him, my voice barely audible, as I kept my head down.

The tears were falling out of my eyes, drop after drop, as if they were all competing on which would hit the ground first. I didn’t want him to get the satisfaction of seeing this creation he made out of me. I wouldn’t let him see how much he affected me.

I glanced up at him from under my eyelashes, to see that he was already looking down at me, the song sheets in his hands. I could see a slideshow of emotions in his eyes- sadness, regret, worry, hurt, guilt. But I refuse to believe them.

I refuse to believe his eyes, because those were the same eyes I had thought looked at me as if I were the only girl in the world, the only girl that mattered to him. Though, that was proven to be false. I was just another random girl, that had unluckily, been added to his whole collection of girl he had played.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I turned around and walked out of the room.

I passed by Madison on my way out, and she looked at me with complete sympathy. “I know we didn’t start off with the best of terms, but just so you know, I’m sorry. Sorry about everything that has had happened between us. I really didn’t plan on stealing Jack from you.”

I shook my head. “That doesn’t matter anymore. He has Kaylie now.”

“Alyssa,” she said softly, “You know that he loves you right?”

I chuckled, amused by her words. “Me?” I kept on laughing, as if she had just said the funniest thing in the world. She looked at me, eyebrows furrowed. “If he truly loves me, we wouldn’t be in this situation right now.”

She bit her lip, looking down, “It’s-It’s complicated.”

“How complicated can it be?” I chuckled. “He had his fun with me, and now it’s Kaylie’s turn. But maybe Kaylie will be the girl he changes for, not me obviously. Kaylie can turn out to be the one he truly loves.”

She looked up at me again, placing her hand on my shoulder. “He’s just-” She shook her head. “Nevermind. Just know that you can always contact me, for anything.”

I smiled at her, a real smile too. “Thanks.”

She nodded at me, before I sprinted out of the room.

I bumped into someone on the way out, knocking them over. “Oh my gosh. I’m so s-” I stopped my apology once I realized who the person was, and retreated my hand, letting it fall to my sides once again.

“Guess I deserve that for stealing your precious boyfriend, huh? But whatever. All that matters is I got him and you,” She picked herself up the floor, cracking a wicked grin, “just don’t.”
