STEFAN: "No, don't—don't... hurt her." He rarely talks in his sleep, but if he does, they are usually nightmares that cause him to speak up. He is worried about you, mostly, and if you happen to wake up at the sound of his terrified mumbles, you wake him up and reassure him that everything is fine.
DAMON: "She's mine." It was no news to you that Damon could get quite protective and possessive over you, but nevertheless, there is something breathtaking about him continuing to defend you even in his sleep. You don't always hear his incoherent talks in the dark of the night, but when you do, it puts a smile on your face.
JEREMY: "More... more pizza." You usually interpret his moans and groans in a much different way than what they really are, and sometimes you find yourself disappointed at the lack of excitement in his dreams, but it is rather adorable when he rambles about the silliest things, even if he denies ever doing so in the morning.
ELIJAH: "M—Marry.. me?" Elijah never talks while asleep, so when you on one night hear him mumbling something against your hair, you stir awake and turn to him with a confused look. Only when it hits you that he has proposed to someone, hopefully you, you shake him awake as well and ask if he has something to tell you — and indeed, he does.
KLAUS: "Deserve you... No... I don't—I don't..." You are initially startled when Klaus picks up a habit of muttering in his sleep, but nowadays, you are used to hearing him worry about your relationship. You know that bringing the subject up would put him in an uncomfortable situation, so instead of confronting him, you start to show your love for him more openly and make sure he knows how much you care.
KOL: "I love you." Although you know that Kol cares about you deeply, more than he has ever cared about anyone, he doesn't declare it out loud too often. He shows it in different ways, but saying the actual words is unusual for him. However, in case you ever need reminding, he becomes a big, cuddly teddy bear when sleeping, and it warms your heart to hear his love confessions in the middle of the night.
