STEFAN: It was your birthday. You told everyone you didn't want a big party, you just wanted to spend the day with Stefan and he agreed to be all yours. But he forgot about it. You waited for him to come home for hours, and when you realized he wasn't coming anytime soon, you broke into tears and called him. "Where are you?", you asked, hurt and sad — how could he forget? You had been talking about this day for the past week. "At Mystic Grill with Damon and Alaric. Why? Is something wrong?", Stefan questioned in worry. You could hear from his voice that he had genuinely forgotten about your birthday. You sniffled, and mumbled a simple, "No, I was just wondering", before ending the call and lying on the couch until you fell asleep.

DAMON: "Remember, we're going to visit my parents tonight. So be home early", you reminded Damon and kissed his cheek. He was going to help Jeremy and Elena with something, and you were fine with it, at least you now had time to prepare yourself in peace for the dinner with your parents. It would be the first time they'd meet Damon, and you were both excited and nervous. "Of course", Damon promised with a convincing smile and left the house, leaving you alone. After hours had passed, and the time was moving painfully quickly, you got worried of Damon not being at home in time. You called Elena, and asked where he was. "Oh, he just left the house with Jeremy to go somewhere. They said they would be back in an hour", she explained, and you thanked her softly despite growing angrier by the second. In an hour, you should already be at your parents' house.

JEREMY: You and Jeremy had been together for a year now. He had promised to plan something great for your anniversary, and you were very excited. When you woke up in the morning, you noticed that the house was empty and he had only left a gift for you with a note. You opened it, and found a beautiful dress and in the note, he said that you needed to be ready in a few hours. You put on the dress, and added some extra effort to make yourself a little fancier than usual. After a couple of hours, you waited outside, ready to be picked up, but he just did not arrive. It was cold, quiet and lonely everywhere, even your neighbors seemed to be gone. You wiped a tear, as you sat there for another hour, but then realized he wasn't coming. You went inside, and headed straight to bed where you fell asleep under the warm blankets.

ELIJAH: Today was the day of your audition for a local singing contest. You had always enjoyed singing, but still, you were very nervous about it. However, you had asked Elijah if he could come there with you, and he had agreed to be there for you, which helped a little bit. Knowing the most important person in your life would be there to support you eased the butterflies in your stomach. At the auditions you expected to see Elijah, since he said he would be there already, but he wasn't. It wasn't like him to be late, but you didn't mind since it wasn't even nearly your turn yet. But a few hours passed, and you heard your name being called. You took your phone out of your pocket, and noticed a text message from Elijah where he said he would come home late because of something urgent. You swallowed your tears, and walked onto the stage with shaky legs.

KLAUS: Your best friend was in an accident a month ago, and unfortunately she passed away due to the severe injuries. With Klaus' help, you managed to move on, but today was her funeral and you asked him to come with you because you knew you couldn't possibly stand the pain all alone. Klaus promised to be your company, which made you very happy. You knew he was going to come there a little bit later than you, but after waiting for his arrival so long that the whole funeral had already started, you understood that something was more important to him than being there for you. You started to cry and went inside, just glad that due to everyone else crying as well, no one suspected that your heart was now breaking for two reasons instead of one.

KOL: You were pregnant with Kol's child, and today the baby was supposed to be born. You knew it already, because you were driven to the hospital where you now sat on a bed, and waiting for the needed people to arrive. Including Kol. You had called him when you were on your way to the hospital, and he promised to be there right away. But now, at least an hour and a half had passed and there was no signs of him being even near. Then it was informed that you had to start pushing and the long process ahead had now officially begun. You were nervous, and sad because instead of taking Kol's hand, you had to grab a nurse's hand. You were disappointed, but if anything, angry.
