STEFAN: You sniffled as you looked away from Stefan. "I can't do this anymore. I'm constantly in danger. And so is everyone I love, including you. This has to end", you whispered as you got up from the couch and walked to Stefan. You planted a sweet kiss to his cheek, and told him that as much as you loved him, you couldn't be together and then walked away, knowing that your relationship was officially over.

DAMON: "What the fuck were you even doing there?", you yelled at Damon and held tears in while trying to process what you had just found out. Damon had been at a party with some friends and ended up making out with a random woman, as if your relationship didn't even exist. "I don—", he started but you cut him off. "No, I don't have to take this. We're done, okay?", you snapped, too angry and betrayed to talk, you left Damon there alone without even discussing about what he had done.

JEREMY: "Please- just hear me out—", you stammered in tears and tried to calm Jeremy down. You had neglected him for weeks now, but you just did not have time. "No, I know enough already. Clearly, I don't fit in your life. I'm practically living without you already, might as well make it official", Jeremy said coldly, hurt by your absence, and then decided you two had to break up before literally leaving you.

ELIJAH: You were crying quietly, while Elijah was clearly trying to hold his own tears back. "I'm sorry, but this just–This doesn't work", you whispered and glanced at your now ex-boyfriend, who failed to hold himself from crying and broke to desperate, sad tears in front of you. Maybe it was because he was a vampire and you were human. Maybe it was the colossal age difference. Maybe all the little cracks that had led to this miserable crash-and-burn situation. "Okay", was all he said before kissing your cheek one last time, and sadly, you noticed how it made you feel nothing.

KLAUS: "I already told you, I would not take more stupid actions from you. You went too far this time. Our relationship is over", you ranted, stomping away from your boyfriend in anger. Klaus had done exscyly what he promised he wouldn't, making you snap. If he didn't care about you, or your wishes, then clearly this shouldn't have been such a big deal — maybe you were better off of without him anyway. "Fine! Leave then!", he just had to have the last word, but at this point, you didn't even care enough to look back and add more fuel to the fire.

KOL: "Sorry, love, but this has to happen. I just— I don't feel anything for you anymore", Kol explained and looked at you while you cried and nodded your head, trying your best to be understanding and forgiving. And that was one of the many reasons why he did, in fact, love you. If only you knew he was doing this for your protection — around him, you'd only be in danger, so for the first time in ages, he was doing the right thing, and keeping you safe instead of knowingly causing you more trouble. It hurt, but being away from you was a small price to pay for your life.
