~ Hayden's pov ~

I manage to cut myself free from the thick ropes I was bound with and run to the door opening it and try to find Tim but every door I opened was empty and one room had the gas containers in it.

'He's not here... he was never here.' I think to myself in horror until something hits me on the back of the head hard enough to knock me unconscious

I wake up in a daze but soon realize I'm no longer in the room I'm sat in the middle of the warehouse now chained to a chair. I see Joker standing in front of me.

"You gotta be careful Princess, dangerous things are in this warehouse," Joker warned with a malicious smile

"Are you going to tell Daddy now?" Joker question tilting his head with a smirk

"He's not here. He never was. You're lying." I growl and he leans down towards me

"Am I... Look into my eyes and tell me I'm lying. That Red Robin isn't bleeding to death as we speak... Tell me" Joker growls tilting my head up

"You're lying" I say calmly

"You're good. *Shakes his finger towards me* It's like you can see right through me Princess" He says through chuckles until he is very serious the sudden change of personality was terrifying

"Unless you have a source." Joker questioned grabbing onto my chair

"A source? Who here would tell me that your only leverage on me right now are these chains?" I question seriously hoping he couldn't see through my lie for mine and Harley's sake

"That's something we'll just have to find out, won't we." Joker said before throwing my chair back causing me to hit my head on the cold concrete beneath me as he left in a rage

(A few hours later)

I wake up to the sound of struggling and see my parent tied as well.

"Mom, Dad" I call out in a panic but realize they were only on a large screen in front of me and couldn't hear me but I did notice the gas tanks surrounding the room

"Did you know, the reason your parents left a week before your graduation was to throw me off track of finding you?" Joker questioned

"..." I kept quiet as I looked in horror seeing my parents strapped to electric chairs

"I must admit they threw me off a bit but they couldn't fool me for long." Joker admitted and leaned against the tv in front of me

"Let's play a game, shall we? Every time you fail to answer my questions the voltage goes up on poor Jane and Frank but if you answer all the questions honestly we won't hurt a hair on their heads." Joker suggested with a smile

"No please don't hurt them, they didn't do anything wrong?" I plead

"Didn't do anything wrong? They stole from me... they broke our family. Princess, they took you from us." Joker said slowly to make it stick with me before he turned up to voltage and zapped my parents

"Let's start... What's your name?" Joker questioned with his hand eagerly on the dial

"Hayden" I answer

"Who is Batman?" He asked I gulped a bit but kept quietly

"...." I stay quiet with tears welling up my eyes

"Well you left me no choice-" Joker said about to turn the nob but a Batarang nearly hit his hand and bounced off flying past me and Batman jumped down and attacked Joker

I anxiously watch glancing at the gas tanks nervously worried that they'll go off and intoxicate Tim or Bruce. I see Red Robin jump down and run to me and try to unchain me but the gas started leaking from the tanks Batman stepped on a wire.

"Tim go, please, just go." I plead looking at him with pleading eyes as I glance towards the gas creeping towards us

"I'm not leaving you here." Tim said as he tried to unchain me but I could see his hands were shaking

"Tim, the gas won't reach me I'll be ok just get out of here, please. I'll be fine. Save my parents first." I plead but in all honesty, I didn't know if the gas would or wouldn't reach me I just had to get him to leave to protect him

"Tim please" I plead once more and he glances at the gas that was creeping towards his only exit, he nodded sadly and left me hesitantly

I watch as the gas creeps towards me but as soon as it almost touched me it was pulled back and disappeared causing me to let out a breath of relief.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Tim standing watching me before he disappeared into the night.

'At least I know he's ok...' I think in relief as I let my head fall back
