The next morning I change into fresh clothes before going out into the kitchen to have breakfast with Loki. He is back in his usual attire and has already made breakfast for us both. We eat but all I can think about is the dance last night and how close we were to kissing. Once we have finished, he insists on cleaning up and I go into the lounge where I look at some of the books we were reading. I find one on Norse mythology and I turn to the page about Loki. I do wonder how much of it is true.

Loki appears beside me and sees what I am reading which makes him chuckle.

"Do you really have four children?" I ask him, making him laugh.

He shakes his head, "I only have one, my daughter Hela. But she is... well... well she is the goddess of death so she is never around. Occasionally she visits but since she... since she is dead, it's not often."

I frown, "I'm sorry I didn't know. How did she... how did she die?"

He forces a smile, "She died of an incurable illness when she was a teenager. But I'm still able to see her so it's not too bad."

"I'm sorry." I whisper, closing the book.

"It's alright. I was curious when you would ask. Thor recommended that book to me to read as a joke and it made me laugh." He says, his face brightening a little.

I smile, "Well we do have creative imagination... but some of it is true."

He nods and then I find myself opening it again and it has two drawing of Loki in it. Once is with him in his Asgardian form in a green outfit with golden horns. A bit similar to what he wears and the other is in his Jotun Form with blue skin and red eyes. The form Loki hates and he said makes him look like a monster which in my opinion it doesn't. But I guess he thinks it does and now I kind of want to see it.

"Loki... can I see your Jotun form?" I ask him, surprising him, "You don't have to but I am just curious."

He looks at me sceptical, "Are you sure? I mean... it's not a pleasant sight."

I nod and then he seems to focus on his magic and I watch as his appearance changes. His skin changes to dark blue with light blue symbols on his skin and his eyes change from green to a crimson blood red. I look at him and I can tell he is waiting for a bad reaction but I am not terrified or disgusted by his jotun form. If anything I am memorised by his appearance and I don't find it scary or monster like. He is quite beautiful and I find myself leaning closer and touching his cheek.

He flinches and moves back, "Don't. I will burn you."

I look at my fingers that I just touched his cheek with and they are not burned like he feared. He looks at me surprised and completely bewildered.

"I didn't burn you..." He whispers.

This makes me smile as I move closer to him, putting my hand back on his cheek, "It seems not." I say, my hand not burned, "You're beautiful."

He stares at me in shock and he changes back into his Asgardian form as I remove my hand. Again I am not burned and the moment he has changed back, he takes my hand still staring at it before looking at me. He is amazed but also looks bewildered.

"You are not repulsed by my appearance?"

I shake my head, "No Loki. I think you look quite beautiful and not terrifying in the slightest. You are no monster and you don't even burn me."

He stares at me in bewilderment and he moves closer to me and we are right up against each other, just like when we were dancing. Again our lips are so close to each other as he looks at me, staring at me in awe. It changes to a loving look and I feel the tension rising and the urge to kiss him builds.

"What are you doing to me?" He whispers, staring at my lips.

I feel a smile on my lips, "Awakening your heart..."

He smiles and then he leans closer to me and oh my god, he is going to kiss me. He is going to kiss me. Our lips are inches apart and about to meet when we hear a thud on the balcony. I sign in disappoint as we pull away from each other and Loki looks just as disappointed which makes me smile. He wanted to kiss me as much as I wanted to kiss him. But we get distracted as we turn to see a man come into the lounge.

Instantly I know he is an Asgardian judging by his clothing and armour. He has blond long hair, red cape and is holding a hammer that I know is Mjolnir. This must be Loki's brother Thor and he is the one Avenger that I haven't met.

Loki goes over to him, looking happy to see him, "Brother it's so good to see you."

He is pulled into a hug by Thor when he reaches him and I smile as I watch them reunite. Thor sees me and pulls away from his brother but looks at me curious. Wondering who I am no doubt.

"You must be Katrina Stark, it's a pleasure... but I thought you were blind?" He asks as he greets me.

I smile as I go over to him, "I was but Loki restored my sight. It's great to finally meet you Thor, Loki talks about you a lot."

He looks at Loki, "You restored her sight? You can do that?"

Loki shrugs, "It seems so. I didn't realise I did it until the next day."

"Well I am pleased you are doing well on Earth brother but I have news." Thor then says, smiling, "Father finally sees how much a threat Thanos is. He is willingly to hear you out and wants you to come back to Asgard for a bit to tell him and the council everything.

The smile fades from my face and I feel my heart pang in pain. Loki is going? He is leaving? I am happy they finally believe him but I don't want him to go. We were so close to being together and now he has to go. Loki seems to be thinking the same but keeps the smile on his face.

Loki nods, still surprised, "That's great brother but how long would I be gone?"

Thor looks between us and smiles, "Oh I see. I thought you said you could never fall in love for a mortal?"

My cheeks go red as Loki says, looking at me, "Well I was wrong, happily wrong."

This makes me smile before Thor answers him, "A few days, maybe a week but not long and then you can come back."

Loki nods, "Alright, I will come. Can you give us a moment?"

With that, Thor says goodbye to me before going back onto the balcony as Loki turns back to me. He looks slightly shocked by his brother news but also looks sad. I can tell he doesn't want to leave me and I can't believe he likes me. He does. Thor saw it clearly. The thought makes my cheek stay slightly red as he comes over to me, a small smile on his face.

He stops in front of me, looking at me lovingly, "I have something for you."

I look at him curious as he takes something out of his jacket and my eyes widen as I see him holding an emerald green pendant necklace. It's beautiful and it matches Loki's eyes colour.

"It's beautiful." I whisper, staring at it.

He smiles, "It was made in Asgard. My mother said to give it to the woman I cherish. May I?"

I bite my lip as I nod and turn around before moving my hair to one side. He puts the necklace around my neck before moving my hair back and I turn around to face him, looking at it. It's so beautiful and I remember his words. To give to the woman I cherish... he cherishes me?

He takes my hands, "It's laced with my magic so no matter where you are, I will find you. I vow I will come back to you Katrina."

This makes me smile, "Then I will wait eagerly for your return."

Then he kisses my cheek before letting go off my hands and I follow him as he goes out onto the balcony. He goes over to his brother and looks at me before they are surrounded in rainbow bright lights and then they are gone. I feel a tear roll down my cheek as my hand goes to the pendant around my neck and I hold it tightly. I love you Loki.
