I walked back to the dungeons, very excited at the fact that I no longer need to stay here, and that I could get away from everyone.
It's not that I don't enjoy being at Hogwarts...
Ok I really don't cause this place is honestly tiring pretending to be someone else.
...but I just can't be myself.
I entered the common room to go straight to my dorm to start packing and saw a crowd of girls forming around the table off to the side. I paid no mind to it until someone called out for me.
"Rosie!"
The crowd opened up and showed Monty laying against a chair, with a black eye.
He stood up and walks towards me, everyone's eyes on the two of us."I didn't know you had a boyfriend." He said while tucking his hands in his pockets.
Whispers went around the Slytherin students, consisting mostly of the girls gossiping about who could've given Monty the black eye. I looked over to them, and they quickly shut their mouths as they focused their attention on us.
I stared at him for a second, "Wicked shiner. My boyfriend gave that to you?"
He nods.
I chuckle, "I don't have a boyfriend, Monty."
"Who else would tell me to stay away from you?"
I look at him confused, still unsure of who it would be... then it hit me.
'This fucking idiot.'
I shrug my shoulders, acting innocent. "Sorry Monty, not sure who it could be. I'd advise you to listen to their warning though."
I tap on his chest as I was past him, heading up the staircase to my dormitory.-
"Binky!"
My favorite house elf ran to the living room to greet me, "Miss Joy! Welcome home!" He runs up to me and hugs my around my legs.
"Would you like something to eat?" He asks first.
I shake my head, "I'm fine, Binky. I'm very tired though, I think I'll just nap for a while."
Binky smiles and walks over to my luggage and attempts to drag it across the living room, up the stairs.
I start to chuckle as I watch him struggle,
"Binky— I got it." I reach over to grab my own luggage, but Binky stops me."No, Miss Joy! Binky got it!" He tried to pry my hand off of the luggage, but I simply picked him up and let him down on the other side of me.
I cross my arms, and look to him suspiciously, "Binky, what are you not telling me?"
I could tell Binky was getting nervous, "N-nothing, Miss Joy! Binky is not hiding anything! Binky was told to make sure you're comfortable at home given your condition after your fall!"
I squint my eyes at him, still unsure if he was telling the truth... but it's Binky. He can't lie, even if his life depended on it.
I decided to let it go and went straight to my bedroom.
I threw my bag to the side and decided to write to Draco, letting him know that I'm staying at the estate for the time being, Snape's orders.
Uncle Sev said that I couldn't stay at the Manor... but he didn't say that Draco couldn't stay at the estate.
I let Rue out with my letter and crash on my bed, beginning to drift off to sleep.
-
"Mother? Joy will be coming over this weekend, is that alright?" Draco walks into their library, while Narcissa were putting away some wedding books that she recently went through.
"Of course." Narcissa replied without looking in his direction.
Draco grew giddy with excitement and turned around to head back to his bedroom, but Narcissa stopped him.
"Draco..."
"Yes Mother?"
Narcissa walks up to her son, admiring how much he's changed since Joy walked into his life, "I'm very proud of you."
She holds his hand, "I'm glad you've found someone that you love wholeheartedly."Draco smiles, "She makes it easy."
-
I didn't sleep long, mainly because I was greeted by Lord Voldy in the middle of my slumber.
"I presume you have what I've asked for." He hovers over the edge of the bed as I began to wake up.
I roll my eyes, "Does it look like I have it right now?"
He glares at me. I sigh and sit up in bed, "It's safe, your Majesty." I bowed to him and rolled back over into bed, "Now, go please. I'm tired."
I could feel his presence still at the edge of the bed after a few minutes so I groaned, "What now?"
"Your house elf—" He begins to say.
I immediately jumped out of bed and stood before him, "Touch him and I'll kill you myself."
He looked to me, surprised at my reaction. His cold expression remained, "You have a heart, Joy. One might find that... a weakness."
"Not everyone can grow up heartless like you," I sass back, "You grew up without parents and became spiteful. I choose to act accordingly. Take it or leave it... I suggest you just take what you get, Voldy."
He grins, "Ensure the safety of the diadem. It plays a crucial part in our reign."
I nod and shoo him away as he disapparates.
I stare at the spot where he was and began to think.
He can't still be suspicious of me after I killed my father... right?
