-(Y/N) POV-
"Now then, I will explain the rules of the Cavalry Battle before we begin." Midnight began as the screen changed to the rules as she spoke. "You all will be given fifteen minutes for the challenge so you all have to act fast. Each team is worth the total of its member's points from the first challenge, and the riders will wear a headband with the total amount of points on their forehead. Teams will try to grab each other's headbands and try to keep as many points until the time runs out." She explained as some of the students turned to look at the shaking Izumi knowing the target she has on her back before listening back to Midnight.
"The stolen headbands must be worn by the rider from the head up, so the more you steal the harder it's going to be to manage them. Also, the most important thing is that even if your headbands get stolen or if your team falls out of bounds, you're not out of the battle!" Midnight explained.
"So that means since there's about forty-two of us, there will be at least a dozen teams or so on the field at all times." I muttered to myself while a few people around me heard what I said.
"One strategy could be to let someone take your points first so you could move freely but strike at the end to get whoever has the most points." Izumi said to herself as she was also thinking it over as well before her eyes briefly widened. "Which is me..." She said fearfully as I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry Izumi, I'll be sure to take your headband the first chance I get." I said confidently as she glared at me and pouted but our attention was turned back to Midnight who whipped the air to gain our attention.
"During the game, it would be a cruel fight where you can use your quirks, but it's still a Cavalry Battle nonetheless. You all will be getting a red card for attacks that are trying to make people fall on purpose, and you will be disqualified immediately! Now, you have fifteen minutes to build your team so you all better get started!" She announced finally as everyone began to disperse to find and create their teams while Izumi turned to look at me.
"Hey (Y/N), do you want to team up?" She asked hopefully, giving me the cute puppy eyes as I avert my eyes away nervously to avoid giving in.
"I'd like to but, I think it would be best for us to be different teams." I said nervously as she looked at me in shock as if the world around her shattered in pieces.
"W-What?! Why?!" She exclaimed while glaring at me as I raised my hands to try to explain myself.
"Because seeing how everyone is going to be after you it's going to be a death wish. Plus, seeing how we're trying to be heroes it would be beneficial if we try to work with other people since we'll have to do that in the future. I'll make it up to you I promise." I explained my reason as she simply glared at me before crossing her arms and looked away.
"Fine, you better..." She pouted before looking back at me for a second and huffing before storming away as I sighed in relief.
"That could've been worse." I said until I felt someone tap my shoulder and turned around to see Momo looking rather uncomfortable. "Oh, sup Momo."
"(Y-Y/N), can you give me a hand?" Momo pleaded before she turned around to reveal Mineta who was still clinging onto her back with a perverted grin on his face. I glared at the pipsqueak before I grabbed the back of his head and yanked him off of her as he tried to pull my hand off his head as I then threw him across the arena and heard him curse me out as he was blasting off. "There, that should take care of him."
"Thank you." She said with a smile on her face and her cheeks slightly red as she stared at me dreamily.
"No problem Momo, are you here to also team up?"
