Chapter 31: Obstacle Race

-Third POV-

"Begin!" Midnight yelled out as everyone then took off and ran through the crowded entrance, pushing and shoving each other trying to get the lead. (Y/N) smirked a bit as he tried to push through the crowd and until he turned my body into smoke and breezed through everyone as they all looked where the smoke was coming from. He even used my quirk to extend the smoke and cover the whole entrance which caught everyone off guard and heard a few people begin to cough as he reformed my body and took off.

"WHAT A START! YOUNG (L/N) HAS TAKEN THE LEAD AND SEEMED TO USE HIS SMOKE QUIRK TO BLIND AND CATCH EVERYONE OFF GUARD!" Present Mic announced as the crowd cheered at how the race started. "ME AND MY GOOD FRIEND HERE, ERASERHEAD WILL BE HERE RUNNING THE WHOLE EVENT PLAY BY PLAY FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE LISTENING!" He added as the students began to emerge from the smoke and were coughing up a storm as they all tried to keep up.

"*cough* *cough* (Y/N)! W-What the *cough* *cough* hell!" Katsuki roared in anger as she was ready to use her quirk to give her a big boost to catch up to me.

"A very impressive start my beloved." Shoya said to herself looking on with determination as she used her quirk and to everyone's amazement used her ice quirk to cover the whole entrance. She then ran past everyone and with every step she took turned the ground into ice as the students who were caught had their feet froze in place and some shivering. Luckily Katsuki and a few others were quick enough to react and use their quirk to get over Shoya's sudden attack and over everyone who was stuck in place and tried to break free.

"Holy shit..." (Y/N) said in amazement as he witnessed Shoya's power that consumed the whole entrance with ice and felt the cold breeze from where he's at.

"Cheap shot you two haired bitch!" Katsuki roared in anger and annoyance, using her explosive quirk to jump over everyone and tried to catch up. Shoya looked over her shoulders to give her a blank stare which ticked off the explosive girl before using her ice quirk to turn the ground into ice as Ojiro quickly evaded it.

"You got me with that once already and you won't be getting me to fall for that again!" He shouted out and used his tail to jump over the attack and give him a slight boost.

"Ah! That was close." Mina shouted as she jumped over the ice and used her quirk from her feet to kinda ski across the ice as pretty much everyone in the back was having a difficult time walking but was still able to make progress.

"Hmm, seems more people outside of Class A were able to dodge my attack." Shoya said to herself a bit surprised as she looked back to see a lot of people were able to break free or just dodge and tried to walk on the icy floor. That was until she spotted a certain grape headed boy throwing his grape hairballs into the ground and used them to jump across the floor with impressive speed and height.

"Haha, I outsmarted you Todoroki! Am I better than that lucky bastard?!" Mineta exclaimed creepily and grabbed a grape from his head. "Come he-!" He was cut off when a robot that was used during the entrance exams came out of nowhere and punched the boy and sent him flying.

"Mineta! Wait, why should I worry about that little perv?" She asked herself, forgetting how much she despised the little creep until she heard something besides her and looked only to see a familiar set of robots.

"Target acquired." One of them said as it was set on Izumi.

"Shit..." Izumi muttered a bit scaredly but was quickly replaced with determination, ready to show All Might and everyone else that she has what it takes.

"OH LOOKS LIKE THE OBSTACLES HAVE SHOWN UP! STARTING WITH THE FIRST BARRIER, INFERNO!" Present Mic announced as everyone stared in shock and fear as many giant robots stood in front of them.
