Chapter 33: Lunch Break and More Competition

-(Y/N) POV-

"Okay, everyone! We'll take an hour break fire lunch before the afternoon festivities!" Present Mic announced. "Hey Eraserhead, let's go grab some food?" He asked casually and probably did not realize he forgot to mute the mic which I couldn't help but chuckle.

"No, I'm going to sleep." He grumbled tiredly.

"Oh, I thought you were going to have lunch with Solar?~" Present Mic said playfully as I stopped walking and froze in from what I heard.

"Hey Mic... you're still on..." I heard Aizawa pointed out annoyingly which made his friend chuckle nervously.

"Oops..." That was all that Mic said before the speakers turned off.

"Please God, I know you must take amusement to my suffering but please don't let this be what I think it is." I whispered to myself as I walked by Team Tetsutetsu who seemed to be sulking their loss, except for a certain vibe haired girl who watched me walk by.

"How disappointing..." Tsuyu said blankly and stormed off away from a distraught Mineta as she walked up to me. "Congratulations on making it to the next challenge."

"Oh, thanks Tsu." I said as her eyes briefly widened but she couldn't help but softly smile and let out a faint happy croak when I called her by her little nickname. "You did well out there too, even if you did lose, which is probably because you had Mineta on your team, but your attacks did catch me off guard," I said as she couldn't help but softly smile until I felt something jump on my back and a pair of pink arms wrap around my neck.

"We did it (Y/N)! We made it to the next round and you were amazing out there!" Mina exclaimed excitedly as I chuckled.

"Thanks, you did good out there too."

"Oh don't say that, Bakugo did all the work and only let me join so I can use my quirk against Todoroki's quirk. Now I have to stand out more in the next challenge if I want to impress any agencies that are watching." She said.

"Don't say that Mina, you helped bail Katsuki out and I'm confident you'll do well on your own on the next challenge." I said as she giggled while Tsuyu who was watching us couldn't help but pout cutely seeing how close the two of us were. "Anyway, I'm hungry and I want to eat before we run out of time and I bet the others are probably waiting for us."

"Yeah me too, though I did see Todoroki take Midoriya somewhere. Wonder what's that about?" Mina said.

"Huh? That is interesting but I'm sure they're fine, let go get some grub." I said as we began to follow the crowd of students leading to the lunchroom with Mina still on my back and Tsuyu following close behind. We were able to push through the crowd and into the lunchroom where we got in line only to see that Momo, Jiro, and Toru were in line ahead of us with Toru slouched a bit and the two comforting her. "Hey girls, is Toru okay?"

"She's fine, just a little upset from her loss." Momo said.

"I'm disappointed but she's taking it a little personally." Kyoka added as Toru perked and turned to face me before she lunged at me and began to gently punch my chest.

"You jerk! Why did you have to take my headband?!" She pouted as I chuckled and held my hands up in self-defense and made Mina jump off my back and couldn't help but giggle.

"It was a Cavalry Battle, so it was every team for themselves and you did try to take my points so it's only fair I take yours." I said with a grin as she pouted again and turned away, earning chuckles from the other girls before moving up the line. We chatted for a bit as we slowly reached the front of the line with Toru getting over with her loss before we reached the front. We grabbed our food and made our way to find a table to sit at when we spotted a few of our classmates were seated out and made our way to them. When we got closer I saw that Ochaco and Iida were seated at the table along with Tsuyu, Ojiro, Kaminari, Sero, and Mineta. Once we got to the table I took my seat in front of Ochaco and Iida while the other girls couldn't help but pout as they took their seats somewhere else at the table seeing how the seat next to me is being occupied by Ejira. She noticed me sitting beside her and couldn't help but brightly smile that I was sitting beside her and sent the girls a smug grin who glared at her before turning to face me.
