"Am I forgetting anything else, Penny?" I asked Penny as I stopped our shopping cart that had everything that we needed like snacks, sodas, body wash, toiletries and such. I've been working at the bookstore for almost a week now and am enjoying the job much more than I did at the café.

Packing new books on the shelf, helping people find the books that they're looking for or introduce them to new authors and standing behind the till. And get paid surprisingly much more than the tips that I've saved from my last job which is great.

Penny checked the list that we've made in our room before we came to the mall, we would have gone shopping yesterday, but we both were too busy. And since today our late classes had been cancelled, because our professors were either not feeling well or they had a family emergency.

And Mrs Robertson had to be at a meeting this afternoon, so dance practise was cancelled to Wednesday afternoon. "I think we've covered everything and looks like we will have enough money for some ice cream."

It's a hot Monday which was a bit weird, because last week all we had was rain until last night, so ice cream was a must to have for a day like this. After paying for our small groceries before going to the ice cream store that's close by.
Walking out with strawberry and chocolate ice cream on a sugar cone for Penny while I was enjoying a cookie dough and vanilla medium tub with chocolate sauce which is nothing less than heavenly yummy.

"Mmm....." I moan for the first three spoonful of my ice cream when my phone started ringing in my jean shorts. Feeling so happy that we're not on campus where the boys' eyes were stick on Penny's and my legs from the jeans shorts that they've never seen other girls on campus have worn before. Typical idiots. "Hello."

"Jennifer, what are you doing right now?" Aunt Gabriella asked, sounding like she was in a rush, but at the same time she was super excited for some reason.

Let's hope that it has nothing to do with the Pageant, because then I have to come up with some stupid lie for Penny when we're having such a great time. "Oh, it doesn't matter, just come to my house. I need you your help with something very important."

"Ok Aunt, I'll-" Before I could finish, Dragon lady end the call which I rolled my eyes for. Taking a deep breath in before turning to Penny who raised an eyebrow for, "My Aunt wants me to come to her house to help her with something very important, wanna come with?"

The drive to Aunt Gabriella's house was pretty much fun since Penny and I were singing to every song that came on the radio and were having a good time on the ride.
Driving past my neighbourhood since Aunt lives about ten or fifteen minutes away from my house, so Penny got a rough picture of where I'm from.

She lives in a house that's close to ours, expect is a bit bigger and have like three spare rooms for guests, garage was bigger, and her lawn was bigger than ours too.

"Ok, whenever work your Aunt does for a living to have such a gorgeous house, I want it." Penny said when we stood in front of the peach and white house that belongs to Aunt Gabriella. When I was little, this house had never belonged to Aunt G, back then she stayed with Grandma. Until one day she got this house which first belonged to her old Pageant coach.

The lady never had children and her husband passed away before she did, I still feel sorry for her. For not being able to have any children to give her fortunes to.
But she gave them all to children homes and there were enough to give towards Heartbeat Studio which Mom couldn't believe actually happened.

Scoff under my breath at the thought of Penny ever coaching girls in Pageants, not saying she can't, I just personally don't see it.
Maybe she could help with their outfits and make-up that pays pretty good, but I'm not even sure that Peyton has ever entered any type of Pageant before.
