David's POV

Whenever I dream of that one bad memory, every morning after, I always have trouble sleeping peacefully or sleep at all. My mind doesn't have enough peace or quiet to rest, my body feels uncomfortable in the most comfortable bed ever. Yet when my alarm went off, waking me up, I was so well rested that it was surprising to me.

Once I cancelled it, I placed my phone down on top of the clothes drawer that Ryan and I shared between our beds. Before pausing halfway when I notice a dark haired lying on my pillow.
For a second, I was confused until I rubbed the last sleepiest out of my eyes to realized who was sleeping beside me before slowing lying down.

Her filled, reddish lips were slightly opened, her dark brown hair was tied loosely, close to being loosen while her head faced Ryan's bed. Lying on her back with her legs were curled up against mine, her left arm bent beside her left side while her right arm was lying on top of her side.

I know that the sight from an outside viewer looks a bit crappy, me lying on my side watching Ariel sleep peacefully, but I couldn't help it.
In this moment, I couldn't help being completely amazed that a beautiful young woman like her is still single. What guy in his right mind wouldn't do everything in his power to have the chance to wake up with her sleeping beside him every morning?

Although I know that she's stubborn and isn't ready to be in a romantic relationship with anyone. But I'm sure that some of the guys that she has gone on dates a couple of nights before might have caught her attention.
Yet they haven't gotten it right to win her over, because of her hard game and stubbornness. Which we are happy for, right?

Before I could think about Ariel's love life any further, a phone started singing Dua Lipa's song, 'Hallucinate' as its ringtone which woke the sleeping girl slightly.

As she was slowing turning around to fully face Ryan's bed, I lied my head down on the pillow and closed my eyes facing the wall, pretending that I was still asleep. With my eyes closed, I heard her answered in a sleepy voice, "Hello."

Somehow I was able to hear whoever was making the call clearly as he greeted almost too cheerful at this time of the day, "Good morning, sis. You're still asleep?"

"Yes Johnny," Ariel groan before yawning, sounding almost upset that her brother had disturbed her from enjoying a very peaceful sleep. And this was the first time that I witness how she reacts when someone wakes her up, "What time is it?"

"Five fifty five, sis." Johnny's voice answered his little sister, still using that cheerful voice. Which almost makes me think that he might have gotten some either last night or early this morning since Rose and little Kayla stays with him and Ariel's Dad now.

After hearing what the time is, both me and Ariel were upset for Johnny's call, well, maybe she was more upset than I was, "Why are you calling me at the middle of the night, you dumbbie?"

"Firstly, it's not the middle of the night, it's the early morning, Drama Queen," Johnny fired back to his sister who I'm sure rolled her eyes back at him.

Before listening further to him, I felt Ariel's body turning again until she was lying on her stomach, then I felt her soaked foot rested against my ankle, "Secondly, Dad wants to know if you're coming home for the 4th July? Because Raymond's coming home and joining us for the grill on the day with his family. And thirdly, he want you to know that you can invite your friends, if they don't have plans on the day."

Yawning and stretching slowly, Ariel sounded like she's still very sleepy when she answered, "Tell Dad that I'm coming home, also I knew that Ray's gonna be home, he told me yesterday. And I don't know who has plans or not, but I'll let him know if any of my friends wants to join us."
