The next few days, I felt like I was just floating on clouds. My little white lie to others was that it's Friday. From Tuesday till yesterday, David and I have been lowkey about our relationship.
We would make sure to keep things simple and secret, even though it was hard. There were times when I wanted to kiss him, say flirting things to him, but I couldn't. And I wanted to be alone with him so much.
But both Penny and Ryan have been so busy that they wouldn't ask me or David to spend the night in one of our dorm rooms. Which used to be almost every day until this week. But today, David promised that we were gonna get everything that we wanted for a long time. After another small training with the team, I got ready.
For the first time, I had to spend more than two minutes thinking of what to wear. Usually, the outfits for previous dates would only take a minute, but now it's nearly thirty minutes.
Just when I was about to call and cry on the phone, the perfect outfit came out of the closet. Without thinking about it, I grabbed it, took the fastest shower ever, and got dressed.
Standing in front of the full body mirror, starting with my hair when the door opened.Breathing a small sigh of relief when Penny and Charlotte walked in, "Whoa girl, why are all your clothes laying everywhere?"
"And why are you wearing this jumpsuit?" Penny asked with her eyebrow raised while Charlie cleared the place. I was about to protest and tell her that I could do it, but my roomie was too busy irrigating. "I thought you're going on a date with some guy you met at your aunt's party?"
"I am." I said after finishing the last loose curl in front of my face. Making sure that the high bun is tight and perfectly straight.
Penny started poking at my shoulder, saying, "This electric indigo two-piece criss-cross jumpsuit is meant for your first date with David. Not for a complete stranger."
I needed to bite my tongue to keep myself from spilling the beans. I'm almost starting to think that I should have tried harder to find something else to wear that wouldn't be a dead giveaway.
Thankfully, Charlie was in the room, "Oh calm down, Penny. You know that whoever Jenna is going on a date won't last for the night."
The comment was making me want to tell them so badly, but I knew that I couldn't. Especially when their guesses are so close, yet so far off. Now I'm starting to feel like I was standing on the edge of a cliff and someone close to push me off it.
Dropping onto her bed, Penny crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes towards me, "Can you at least give me the guy's name?"
"Already told you that I can't." This is the fifth time that she had asked me for a name. Every name that I could think of wasn't popping up for some reason. And as much as I want to give one, I stop out of fear that I'll slip up.
Rolling her eyes before saying almost annoyed, "I'm just gonna do a deep interest search on the guy isn't gonna make you want to see him again. I've done it for the last couple of guys you've gone out with before, and it didn't do any harm."
"Maybe Jenna doesn't want you to be nosey on this one yet." Charlie said teasingly before packing my clothes away. Once I was done with my hair, I started helping her, which she didn't like. "Leave the packing, I'll do it. Here, put on the gold skinny high heels that you keep forgetting to take back to your aunt."
"Charlotte!" Penny excluded angrily before I sat down to put the heels on. Meanwhile, our friend just rolled her eyes when she heard, "Don't help the enemy. Who's side are you on?"
