After celebrating the 4th of July, we were all back on campus. Taking classes, culture, and sports activities, just going back into the normal routines and patterns that we've formed at KAU.

Our team, the Knights, had a game on Sunday, and although we had already trained on Monday. Coach Richard decided that we would have an early training session right after Thursday. From 6 am till 8 am.

I know that I usually wake up early to work out with Penny, but this was a little too early for me. Most of the team was whining about having a hangover from their celebrations. I, on the other hand, just wanted to go back to bed because my classes would have only started after twelve. All I wanted was two more hours of sleep.

When training was done and Coach Richard was happy with our performances without killing half of us to death. Most of the team was walking into the changing room like a group of zombies while I felt like the wife of a Mummy.

I was slightly lamping to where my duffle bag was lying before dropping down to the iron bunch. My right ankle felt like it was in some kind of lock because of the small knock that I got from Tylan. When I stole the ball from him during our friendly match, we shared kicks before carrying on.

My ankle felt stiff and slightly sore while Tylan looked like he felt it more than I was. When he pulled down his soak to look at his ankle, there was a small blue mark forming.

"No hard feelings, yeah?" I asked while reaching a fist to him, and he smiled and touched it with his. I slowly rolled my foot around to ease the stiffness and pain as everyone was talking to each other.

I am biting harder on my teeth to prevent myself from screaming in pain. Then I felt someone sit down beside me. Finding Riley is the one next to me, wearing an orange T-shirt and white shorts, holding a navy blue roll of athletic tape. "Leg."

Raising my eyebrow at him in confusion, "Excuse me?"

Pointing at my right leg before patting his lap with a pensive expression. Slowly lifted my leg as he had told me, placing it on his lap, trying my best not to make this as awkward as it already does.
He then loosens my shoelace before taking my shoe and my soak off my foot.

Then, he started wrapping the tape around my ankle and heel, knowing what he was doing. Riley never stopped to ask anyone if he was doing it right or struggled at all. He only stopped to ask if he should tighten or loosen it.

"Make sure that you ice this for fifteen minutes and do some stretches." He said after the third wrap around my ankle. Making the tape not too tight and not too loose. Making sure that I could still move my foot without breaking or loosening the tape. "If you still feel pain on Sunday, then it would be best that you only play in the second half. The last thing that we need is to have another injured player on our team."

Nodding my head, putting my soak and Jordans back on. I was surprised by Riley's kind jester, which was something that hardly happened. Normally, we ignore each other and try to play nice with one another, but this is something very different.

While he was putting his tape away in his bag, someone caught our attention by saying, "Awe, how sweet, Jenna's boyfriend is taking care of her."

Raising my eyebrow at Diego and Josiah, who was staring at me and Riley with boyish grins. "You better do what your beloved tells you, Jenna. Or else he'll be heartbroken if you can't play Sunday's game."

Both Riley and I turned to each other for a second before turning back to the two in front of us, "ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS?!"

"There's no way in hell will I ever date Riley." I deadpanned, the mere thought of ever being in a relationship with him is something unthinkable.
