After a week of having people nearly all over campus coming up to me asking questions or for pictures once finding out who I am, everything went back to normal which almost made my friends sad.
Because for a week, they have been teasing me with the whole thing, calling me a golden girl or super star and would quote my words from the campus newspaper and website at any given time.
That's right, I actually sat down with Amber Roerich and let her write an article about me which was very well written if I may say so. I let my Dad, Andy, Johnny and Becca read it the last time I was at home which is now framed on the wall in the living room.
It's my first interview that I ever had and it was something that Dad couldn't stop smiling while reading it. Really wish Mom could read it too.
While walking to the dance studio, I see these posters of blue, red, orange and yellow with different cars that were being washed by people who looked to be dancers and soccer players.
Or dancers in dance positions while the players are scoring goals with one or two cars between them both. Staring each other down before starting some epic battle while having colourful words under reading,
KAU's Car Wash! Sapphire Vs KAU Knight's Soccer Boys Team. Next week Saturday 12:00 till 19:00, on parking lot next to the football field, BE THERE!!!
While staring at the poster, someone's arm went over my shoulders, "Ah, the showdown of the season, the one event that everyone loves watching almost more than watching some of the sport games." Kevin sighed as Daytona and Janelle walked on either side of us.
All of us were dressed in sweats and loose tops since todays practice would only be focused on polishing Sapphires performances for Spotlight competition.
Since we've been practicing them all for almost two weeks now, we've been focusing on the large group performance. Which everyone would be doing together first, before going to the small group. Then the solo's before ending off with the duets. And for almost two weeks, we've all been busy practicing, although Mrs Robertson hasnt asked to review any of the solos or duets yet.
This gives everyone like Dylan and me to change, take out or add something in our duet while polishing it up for the last week now."What's so special about this car show that has Sapphire and the Soccer team battling it out for whatever reason?" I asked, being mostly confused to why those are the only teams and culture groups that's having almost special attention. Besides the first football game that everyone were going nuts for last week Saturday.
Janelle was the one who answered with a smile, "Well, turns out five years ago, the university wanted to do something different to not only get more people to study here. But also to have two of their culture group and sport team to looked forward to doing together.
So, the heads of both company came up with the idea of having a car wash which led to the soccer team and dance group getting super competitive with each other.
Hence the reason why Sapphire and the soccer team are almost the centre focus of KAU's car wash.""Too bad Mrs Robertson isn't in chance of the car wash for Sapphire at all," Daytona groaned before dragging a sigh as we walked into the studio where everyone were already sitting in a half moon circle.
Nearly looking as if they're being bored to death from having this conversation that might have been going on for at least fifteen minutes, "So, who's in chance of the car wash?" I whispered for any of my friends to answered, but didnt need to once I saw who everyone was facing.
Stephanie was dressed in gym leggings and a grey tank top, disagreeing with someone in front of the circle, "That idea will never work and won't get us anywhere close to a win against the soccer boys."
