Laying in my bed on campus, enjoying maybe the best sleep ever. At some points, it might have felt like I was smiling in my sleep. Smiling at all of the wonderful dreams of me and David. Dreaming of our date on Friday night and how amazing, perfect, and wonderful it was. And it was almost the only thing that I could think of for this weekend. But today was a special day.

As my sleep was becoming lighter and slowly waking up to sound of, "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you,"

Opening one eye to find Penny, Charlie, Janelle, and Daytona standing beside my bed. Each one of them held one or two things in their hands while one of them was holding a plate of a stack of French toast covered with syrup, mixed berries, and a lit candle. All of them were dressed in sweatpants and oversized hoodies. All have a big smile on their face as they sing for me.

Sitting up in my bed with the biggest and sleepiest smile ever, with the smell of freshly made French toast that looked delicious to me as Janella place the plate in front of me, "Make a wish, girl."

"You guys didn't have to do all of this for me." This was so unexpected, I had no idea that they were gonna do this for me. And no, having David on my mind all the time doesn't mean anything. It's just that I wasn't the type of person who expects everyone to go above and beyond for my birthday. But this surprise was really sweet of them.

"Your welcome," Penny said before carefully hugging me without burning herself. While hugging her, I noticed Daytona's phone's flash being on, "Are you recording me right now?!"

Not being fully awake at this point, I was slowly remembering that I had my silk bonnet on. Since I've been braiding my hair before going to bed. And the last thing on my mind was blowing out the candle.

"It's for memories, a special moment." Daytona said, trying to soften the embarrassing realization.

Rolling at eyes at them quietly laughing at my embarrassment more before finally blowing out of the candle. Just I was about to take a bite out of my French toast, the plate was taken away from me, "Whoa yo!!! What're y'all doing?!"

"Gifts first, breakfast second." Penny said with a big smile as she placed the plate on the drawer beside my bed.

Then she dropped this big birthday gift bag in my lap. Janelle rolled her eyes for the gift in front of me while Charlie said, "We agreed to have Jenna open your gift last."

"I can't wait until the end for her to open it." Penny whined with a guilty, jolly smile. Both Charlie and Daytona weren't having, "That's not fair, Peyton. You can't change the order whose gift gets opened first."

"Yeah, and you two are roommates, which means your gift has to be last." It's the first time that I've seen Charlie arguing with the girls like this. Usually, she would be arguing with David and Ryan on many things, but this was very new.

"But I'm too nervous and excited to wait." Penny whined with her puppy eyes coming on full display. Which doesn't look like its effects are working to her favorite right now.

Clearly, it's too early for this right now, and I wanna have my birthday French toast. So, I just put the bag beside me, "Janelle, give me your gift, please."

All three girls stared at me in shock while Janelle placed her mini box in my lap, "Honestly could care less about whose gifts get open first or last. The most important thing is that I open them and be grateful for them, which I already am."

Once that had been settled, I opened my gift, which was a red sweatshirt and black jogger pants from Forever 21 x Selena collection. Thanks to my Mom, I basically grew up listening to Selena Quintanilla's music. So, I loved the gift.
