"Ohh," I cooed at this painting of the first day of school after the fourth term. Where the entire school had to leave the building to get rid of a pack of three coyotes.
And some idiot decided to pull on the fire alarm for some reason. "Look at us. We look like we were standing in the rain."

Laughing with me, Junaid nodded his head after showing me about ten of his artworks that are on display. We've been catching up with each other and seeing how far he has come. "I just had to paint it. I couldn't get this one out of my head."

Every now and then, I would glance around to see how David was doing without me. There were some moments when he would be staring at one painting or a couple of statues, and reading a pamphlet with a glass of red wine.

I hope that he's alright. I know that he wants me to spend time with Junaid, but shouldn't have meant that he's left alone.

Then I noticed a beautiful art piece of someone facing a group of people, wearing this gorgeous silver and rose gold poem dress. Where the back has this elegant floral sewing needle design. "This is Haylie's senior prom dress."

I remember posting a picture of her dress in the exact position that she stood in this painting. And found it so amazing and sweet that Junaid had created in honor of her by the name, 'Senior prom'.

When I turned to him, I noticed the way he was staring at it. There were these emotions of sadness and deep love. "She told me how exactly she wants her senior prom dress a year before. Poorly sketching it just so that I could picture it the same way."

A bittersweet smile that was filled with love, warmth, and sadness as he almost whispers, "Hailey looked like a goddess that night."

He and my cousin used to date in high school until they broke up before he left for New York. They were the best couple that anyone had ever seen. Yeah, they faced some hard times, but they were solid and seemed like those couples that would stay together until the end of time.

Softly smiling before lightly nudging his shoulder, "Do you miss her?"

"Am I stupid? Yes." He said sarcastically and honestly. We got a chuckle out of it before he said, "I've missed her, especially whenever I'm creating new pieces."

"Awe, even when you two are broken up, she's still your amuse." Teasing Junaid about how much he used to just spend at least an hour with her before he went either to paint or sketch anything. And there were times when the roles would be reversed between the two of them.

Smiling and taking the tease before saying in defense, "Well, there were most times when you and everyone else help with the creative juices flowing. Especially you, Chelsea, and Carter."

I took a sharp breath hearing those two names in the same sentence. My mind threw itself into a sea of memories of Chelsea and Carter being friends who would always not get along with each other most of the time. With me, being the only one to bring peace and make sure that they behave nicely to one another.

"How's Chelsea, by the way? Are you two still the famous Batgirl and Black Canary duo?" Junaid said with a big, goofy smile. Remembering how one Halloween Chelsea and I decided to dress up together. Not caring that we both were colored girls who dressed up as two white badass superheroines. And it was just the best memory ever.

Which felt like a huge snicker punch in my gut before saying, "No, that duo went down the hole when I caught her and Android sleeping together. And she cut off our friendship completely first."

"Wait, what?!" Junaid stared at me wide-eyed. He was shocked to hear about this. Surprisingly, I still can't whip my mind around it, even though it's been two years since then. "Are you sure they were sleeping together?"
