"For the last time, Aunt G, I know what time the circus starts." I said for the ninety fifth time.
I've told my aunt that I knew when the Pageant would be taking place and know how to get there. But in her mind, she believes that I'm practically clueless without her telling me everything that needs to know, and tonight will prove that. The first night of this stupid thing that I'm supposed to learn from tonight, and I clearly don't want to go. For weeks, I've been practicing how to smile, how to walk, how to answer questions, and a dance chorography that wasn't of my work all at once.
But that doesn't matter since I'm nothing more than a grumpy clown in my aunt's eyes in her lovable circus. Aunty Gabriella just tasked over the phone, "Don't go anywhere, I'll pick you up."
"And let the whole campus, including my friends, see me in your car that has BP with a crown printed on every part of it, no thank you." I would rather have myself be put in a jungle naked with a complete stranger than to be seen getting anywhere near that car. Plus, there might be a lot of people with dirty thoughts and will have comments on the 'BP', which stands for Beauty Pageant.
The last thing I want is to have anyone finding out that I'm part of this whole nonsense. There's no need to give Stephanie something else to push my buttons on, "I already have a ride to the center anyways."
"What's so bad of driving around in my car?" Aunt G may sound like she's offered, but honestly, she doesn't care one bit about it. I was too busy packing a bag of some clothes that I'll change into by the end of tonight's show as my aunt was speaking to my bed and the ceiling about her car.
Despite not wanting to be part of this thing, I was mostly excited for the talent show tonight. I've been spending a lot of time practicing in between my busy schedule with Dylan and Sapphire practices for Spotlight. And got the chance to change most of Gabriel's choreography just by a hair. There's nothing wrong with it at all, I enjoy it completely, but I personally feel that it isn't a choreography for me.
My mom believed that when an artist creates something, they would put a piece of themselves into their works along with their passion and what drives them.
When I first saw Gabriel's art, I saw and felt his passion and what drives him. It was only right that his choreography should be performed by him and only him, even if he had given it to someone else. After making sure that I had everything that I needed, I picked my phone up from my bed and yet Aunt G hasn't stopped talking about her car, "Ok Aunt G, my ride's here, text you when I'm at the centre, bye." I quickly said while ending the call without hearing what else my aunt had to say.
Before walking out of the door, Penny stepped out of the bathroom, looking beyond gorgeous. Wearing a blood red cocktail dress with black heels and her golden hair falling down in curls. "Well, aren't we dressed up like we're going on a fancy date?"
Smiling excitedly and widely, Penny nodded as she put on gold earrings, "Yes, we are. I'm having dinner with Jeff from Charlie's music group, quite a good looker, and I'm promised to have a magical evening."
Jeff is the guy that Penny and I met on Tuesday when we walked Charlie to the music room. And from there onwards, the two have been texting, calling, and talking to each other at any given time.
So, hearing that Penny's going on a date with the guy wasn't a surprise at all, though I always thought that she and Ryan seemed to be a perfect match for each other. Oh well, I could be wrong.Noticing my bag, Penny raised a brow with a smirk that I've seen before and know what it is for, "Will I not be expecting you in our room when I come back from my date tonight?"
I swear, it has been only four weeks or more since this love theory that Peyton has come up with after the dance battle between me and David and still hasn't let it go yet. Yesterday, she couldn't stop talking about us wearing our 'secret message' together when I came back to campus. Rolling my eyes while smiling at Inspector Peyton, "You're never gonna let this theory of yours die, are you?"
