"Happy birthday to David and Charlotte......" Harmonizing mostly off key and tune which one twin was enjoying. While the other was trying not to have such a painful smile on his face. "Happy birthday to you......"

At once, they blew the candles on top of the red velvet cake. Junaid, Haylie, and Cameron came with us to their house after the paddle-out memorial. Both David and Charlie insisted that they come.

And just like the first time they've met, Junaid had some strange and curious way of greeting their family. There was this sense of surprise, happiness, and almost secretive. And as much as I tried to put a finger on why it's like that, I get nowhere.

Before, my skull could break itself in half, trying to figure this mystery out. I decided to let it go for now and think about it next time.

The gang came to the house before us, and since they were welcome, they created a moment of jumping out of nowhere, screaming 'surprise' for David and Charlotte.

They weren't really so surprised by it since we saw their cars when we drove in the driveway. But they put on a decent act for them.
It's the thought that counts, anyway.

After singing and cutting the cake, the gang gave David and Charlotte one or two presents. Which really moved them both, although neither of them had asked for them. Each gift was something thoughtful and showed how much they're seen as part of the gang.

Coach Richard came around shortly to wish the twins a 'happy birthday' before leaving. Letting David know that today was his only cheat day for the week. Since we'll be heading to San Diego next week Thursday for the tournament.

After having cake and opening presents, we all went nuts on the number of board games that were given to us. Playing nearly eight different games, winning, losing, and drawing many of them.
It was a really great night full of entertainment.

"I win!!" Charlie exclaimed happily after playing a red Uno card. Frankie groaned in frustration, running his fingers through his hair, "What the heck?! How could you have won for the fifth time?"

She had a cheeky smirk, flicking her hair over her shoulder, saying, "It's birthday's luck, I guess."

"More like cheating than luck." Daytona mumbled bitterly under her breath as she tossed her cards to the middle of the table. Our group is known to be pretty competitive when it comes to practically everything.

Charlie gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her chest, "Daytona, you really think that low of me?"

"I don't understand why we had to add the seven card rule in the first place?" Kevin argued which getting fed up to always give his hand of cards to the person on his left. Every time when he was close to winning the round. "Who even came up with that rule?"

While I was watching all of this unfold in front of me, shifting the cards between my hands. My phone vibrated in my pocket, seeing a message from the birthday boy himself,

David: "I'm gonna excuse myself from the battlefield. Meet me in the kitchen in five minutes after."

Me: "Why?" Smirking emoji

Me(2): "Wanna have another birthday kiss, David?" Blushing emoji, winking emoji; lips emoji

I know that we are on a break and aren't supposed to be like this. But after the kiss this morning, I just couldn't stop myself from being flirty with him.
