After beating the Bobcats, the team's confidence was back to normal. After demonstrating and defeating a team that was a psychological force. You could feel our groove coming back, especially the two training sessions after demonstrating in our first game.
Although Coach Richard was very pleased that his team was back, he reminded us that we still had a long road ahead. We were preparing for the next game that's set on Thursday.
A match against the Golden Trouts. Two times champions of the Goldenball Cup. They have been known to be a very strong opponent, twice as feared more than the cats and good reasons.
The team's Capitan, number eleven, is a top striker who's apparently going through a stage of being called to play for Seattle Sounders FC. Their center defender, number thirty, is another defender who hardly let anyone come past him. He will also be moving to Bedfordshire to play for Luton Town FC.
Flinching while having a short pain flying through my ear from Logan whistle, "Their team have eighteen sponsors from nine different countries?!"
He was reading over my shoulder with Timmy, Eric, and Josiah. It's Tuesday morning, and the team and we were having breakfast in the dining room. As I've done before, I was doing some research on the Golden Trouts, wanting to know how strong and competitive the team actually is.
Having Tarzan as my source of information on the players. As well as asking Ryan and Coach Richard. And they all have been very useful.
"How the heck does Golden Trouts have so many sponsors, as the nineth team to win the tournament?" Josiah asked with a mouthful of pancakes. Which will kill him when we have the last training session today before our match tomorrow afternoon.
From what I've heard, Knights and Thunderdogs are the top teams in the tournament. Having won the most cups.
While having NY Blue Jay, Sliver Buffalos with sixteen and fourteen cups under their names. Then Red Bulls, Triton, Arion, and LA Sharks got nine, eight, six, and four cups under their bolt.Surprisingly, both Mighty Shrimps and Golden Trouts have the lowest amount of wins in the tournament. "Trouts have one cup extra from the shrimps, yet they're the most feared team?!"
"It's like we're playing against the wall of the pitch."
"The Barcelona of the Kickball league?"
"Even though they're more on the same level as Tottenham Hotspur."
I had to cover my mouth from laughing too loud for the last comment Benjamin made from across the table. Receiving high fives for the burn when the team is speaking entered the room.
Most of them went to dish their breakfast from the table. While six of them walked in, wearing these skirts, aprons, and silk scarves tied around three of their heads.
Raising an eyebrow at them while I heard Eric whisper, "What are they doing?"
"Probably practicing an audience for a circus, in case they don't win this year's cup." Josiah gave a savage jub which got come chuckles. But I watched in silence, having some idea what they were doing.
One player pressed play on his phone to play classic joyful piano instrumental. Then another brought a big cardboard sign that read, 'it's a man's world'.
A player wearing an apron stepped forward, having messy makeup on spoke in a high-pitched voice, "I can't play soccer, I have to clean the house before my husband comes home. He said that I must make his favorite mac and cheese and not practice how to dribble."
