Mr. McLellan was completely different compared to what I thought he might be like. In my mind, I pictured him as that parent who doesn't take any nonsense, is always serious, and doesn't smile. But as I stood there stunned, staring at this kind, joyful, and gentle Gaint in front of me. All of those thoughts were blown away.

He had broad shoulders and forearms, which tells me that he might have been a bodybuilder once upon a time. But it still looks like he keeps himself in shape. Brown and gray freshly trimmed hair that was more straight than curly hair. He's quite handsome, but I guess that's a factor that does run through their family.

The second he opened his arms towards the three of us, David and Charlotte immediately ran into them. Both twins squeezed themselves into their Dad's embrace. Their faces and heads were buried into Mr. McLellan's chest while his head rested on top of their shoulders.

Watching him hug them was filled with so many emotions that were overflowing from them. I never saw or felt a hug that was this emotional, and that wasn't for grieving. It was so much more than that.

There was this large amount of love, joy, warmth, and this slightly large amount of fear. That came stronger from Mr. McLellan as he held them. It felt like he was afraid that this might be the last time he'll ever have to hug David and Charlie.

During their long, emotional embrace, their brothers and little Valeria weren't watching them with any sense of envy or slight hatred. Instead, there was this deep sense of empathy and sorrow as they watched. Which was something that you don't see often.

After a long time, Mr. McLellan pulled away from the two, staring into their faces with a big, emotional grin, "How are you two? How's uni?"

"Uni is fine, Daddy," Charlie said, reassuring their Dad with this sweet tone and her bright smile. Which no doubt might have brought him some ease. "And we've been good also."

Smiling brighter at her as his eyes brighten, "I heard about the concert that your music club is having soon."

Nodding her head excitedly, hearing that their Dad knows about her concert. KAU's music club is having its concert two weeks before the team leaves for the tournament. The gang, David, and I have already bought our tickets.

"And I booked your seat with everyone else's. Will you be able to come?" There was a slight pause after Charlie asked. As if she was holding her breath for whatever answer she might get.

But then Mr. McLellan snickered as his smile grew wider and his green eyes brighter, "As if I would ever miss it. I'll be cheering the loudest for you, Buttercup."

Once she heard her Dad reassure her that he would be attending her concert, Charlie's entire mood changed. Almost jumping on top of him as she threw her arms around his neck and landed another big kiss on his cheek. Softly chuckling proudly to make his daughter happy.

After she walked out of his arms, Mr. McLellan turned his attention to David. His eyes brighten once again as they have done for her, "My boy, how are you?"

"Always good, Dad." He said, raising his hand for a handshake before they hugged again. Still having the same smile as before, "How did the business paper go?"

Suddenly, David became even more excited as he said, "What you told me really helped me with one of the questions that they had. I got full marks and everything. Only four people and I were able to answer that question so well."

A booming laughter burst out of Mr. McLellan's mouth, wearing a proud smile, "I told you, son. Business exam papers will throw questions at you where they want you to think and answer like a businessman. I'm so glad that I could help you, my boy. One of these days, you're gonna make an excellent businessman yourself."
